The Vigilants of Tyr is recruiting for The War Within!! The Vigilants of Tyr were formed to honor the memory of Tyr, pure and simple. Tyr was a great hero, and his actions have inspired the many denizens of Azeroth to achieve great things. However, the Tyr’s Guard who protected his tomb and his memory were slain during the Legion invasion and with their absence, the Vigil was formed to take up their mantle and do as Tyr did - venture forth, protect Azeroth, and smite evil wherever we might find it.
With the return of the Tyr’s Guard during Dragonflight, the Vigil was folded into the Guard and are stronger than ever under Tyr himself! Now with the Radiant Song calling out to many, the Vigil knows they must answer and they are prepared to stand with Azeroth aganist whatever evil may come for it. Alliance or Horde, it does not matter to the Vigil, if you are ready to protect Azeroth the Vigil will welcome you as a friend.
Summary Vigilants is a good guy organization with our events involving general cartoony adventures, dangerous expeditions, dives into Titanic ruins, and general do-goodery
Our members do not have to worship Tyr, the Titans, the Light etc. Having a basic respect for Tyr and his ideals is the only requirement - worshiping any of the Titans (that aren’t evil) is just a bonus!
All characters, regardless of faction are welcome. Ideally they should at least be inclined towards doing good, a true hero, a criminal in search of redemption, or just some poor fool that found one of our recruitment flyers - these can all work! Evil characters typically do not fit in this guild as a member but talk to us if you have some ideas! We do have some questionable shady individuals among us, but if you primarily RP stealing candy from babies or playing baby shark in public places we may not be the best fit for you. (We do offer an Affiliate rank for individuals that still wish to RP with us - or you can just RP with us anyway without having the guild tag).
As such, all classes and all races are welcome to apply to the guild so long as the character makes sense as part of the Vigilants. Talk with any of us directly if you aren’t sure if your character would be a good fit or not - if they can live by Tyr’s ideals and try to do good in the world, they will probably work!
To clarify regarding lore implication with the Tyr’s Guard. The Vigil is now a part of the Tyr’s Guard but, we’re the kinda weird ones that they don’t talk about at family gatherings, and aren’t allowed to show up on home videos.
Activity The main guild story is on Tuesdays at 8 PM CST/6 PM PST, while side stories and one-offs are generally on Thursdays at 8 PM CST/6 PM PST.
These events are ran using a /roll 20 homebrewed system, known as “Dusty Old System” or “DOS” for short. So, if you like more ttrpg type style RP, that’s what we do!
In addition to RP, we currently have casual Mythic+ nights on Wednesdays at 8 PM CST/6 PM PST that anyone is welcome to join in on. Many members have achieved KSM and KSH during Shadowlands and Dragonflight! Otherwise, Wednesday are fun casual dungeoneering, so even if you are a newbie or prone to panicking like me, you are absolutely welcome! We have a lot of fun.
