Halo gets a delay, Acitivion rushes SL out the door. Typical

They have until Dec 31 to get it out.
Blizzard better be looking at their darn hardware and getting the lag under control. I wouldn’t say it’s been really bad but it hasn’t been a smooth run for BfA. I don’t care how awesome a game they put out if you cannot play it, what’s the point?

Not quite. All those cuts from WOD happened during development of the expansion, not when it was live. People felt Legion’s testing was still greatly incomplete and that they were rushing it out the door to avoid the 6.2 drought going on any longer.

It’s excluded simply because Legion ended up being good; people ignore it even when, in this case, people felt as pessimistic about the expansion as they do about Shadowlands. It’s all hindsight and selectivity.

Probably early-late October

Preach was spot on about everything wrong with BFA.

To fix BFA all ion had to do was watch 30mins of preach’s YouTube.

Sounds unhealthy.

They haven’t even given us a release date. How about you hold your horses?

Also you cant compare activision/blizzard to a huge company as Microsoft

lol what? PTR is lining up with alot of peoples predictions, including mine, for release. Its absolutely not being rushed.

Its really not hard to figure this stuff out when they have a long history of similar timelines for release.

Gotta keep giving Bobby Kotick those millions he has not earned and does not deserve, don’cha know.

I wish SL would be delayed until April because that’s when I hit the one year mark at my new work place and would be eligible for vacation time.

What the heck is WFH?

Work From Home.

Unlikely WoD has horrible technical problems from the start. I suspect the only way to have fixed WoD was to scrap the entire expansion and start over.
Don’t suspect the same thing will happen with SL.

Anxiety again?

It is a good time to get new product on the market with a lot of people being at home. If other games company delay there product, it’s even a better time for Blizzard to release the new expansion. Also, delays in game development cost money so no one will delay the release of a game just for the fun of it.

If the game is complete and good by Blizzard standard: why not release it?

If the expansion is not good, then people will leave.
Simple. No need to bite your nails for that…

Development has been moving along at a very fast pace for a while now, I don’t know why you’d think that prepatch hitting PTR now is rushing. It’s about the expected time, specially if they’re rehashing the scourge invasion…

No, it’s pretty obvious when blizz Phones it in for a wow expansion. This ain’t it. The amount of detail and care that has obviously gone into most of what we’ve seen from shadowlands should be more than enough to see that this isn’t a Filler like BFA or WoD was.

Because it was. BfA at launch was the buggiest launch expansion that I’ve played, and I’ve played them all.

True, but I don’t think SL will go through a content drought. I think its issues, should they exist, will be more akin to BfA, where the systems in place are generally disliked, or the story is generally disliked.

If people are effectively working from home, then I don’t understand why they would delay it or push it back?

There’s virtually no difference between sitting in an office at your computer or sitting in your home office at your computer.

My boss told me my productivity has gone up since we started working from home since I don’t have people asking me questions, asking me to help find things, etc.

Gaming companies delaying game releases are FOOLS. Everyones stuck at home now would be the perfect time to release something.
