Remember in WoD where a bunch of us couldn’t claim our Garrisons for the first day because the item you had to interact with was bugged? I also guess you never had your raid fall under the world in vanilla and had to wait hours for everyone to get ported to a GY and then the next day have the same thing happen again.
This wasn’t the case at all, people on the beta were being very, very harsh on WoD, even I made a thread at some point, complaining, BFA can’t say because I wasn’t invited to the beta
I don’t care they could release an unfinished festering pile of puke and it would be better then playing with corruptions.
That is simply false. Most BFA alpha/beta testers pleaded Blizzard change things about the core systems (Azerite gear, neck grind, class changes, etc.) and said the expansion would be really bad if that stuff went live. Blizzard ignored all of that feedback and look what happened. In terms of WoD, people complained heavily about how Garrisons were to be implemented, and it was awful attempt Blizzard made towards introducing player housing.
The good things that people said bout WoD was how good the content looked. Then when we received next to no new content as the expansion went on people started to hate the game.
But in terms of BFA, people said from the start it was going to be bad, and Blizzard refused to listen to feedback. I heard very few compliments about BFA as it was nearing release, if any.
Or maybe – now stay with me here, this might blow your mind – there could be multiple, conflicting opinions within a community of hundreds of thousands / millions of players?

I’ve worked on triple A titles before.
Halo isn’t being pushed back because they want to push it back.
It’s being pushed back because it -has- to be pushed back.
I imagine vital systems aren’t going to be in by winter and they don’t want to fail going gold since it’s a hefty fee to keep trying if your game fails the pass.
I do think it’s funny that Microsoft has the balls to delay the game to make sure it launches great but ActivisionBlizzard doesn’t.
They are not delaying it because they want it to be great, they’re delaying it because they have to, the game isn’t playable at all.
If they could get away with shipping it as is, they would. Even if it played like garbage.
The last zombie invasion lasted one week.
This. If Blizzard announced a delay, GD/Reddit/Twitter/Youtube would be apoplectic.
