Half the Playerbase is gone?

But it is!

You can’t compare Wow to any other MMO in terms of these spikes unless the other MMO has been in existence for what 17+ years?

The older the game gets the more these spikes increase, until eventually the game dies out, eventually it will happen.

No…pal…its NOT normal for a game in mid expansion to literally lose nearly half its player base because IF it is then youre doing your game WRONG LMAO.
It WASNT normal in WoD when it happened and thats why they stopped making sub numbers public…

Im going to ignore you now since you clearly are going to even knight massive sub losses .
talk your smack to someone more gullible.

If I were to guess Id say people got a rude awakening to these barriers to entry that exist toward the more top end activities that award end game gear and decided their game time was better spent elsewhere.

I love wow. Love it so much I’m ready for TBC Classic to be apart of TBC again. As well as Wotlk. After wotlk however I hope Ashes of Creation is out since I’m tired of retail.

Which kind of breaks with tradition.

Usually a new expac launches and people start messing with the old raid. Maybe you can do them on one class, maybe if you’re super geared, etc.

Then the next expac launches and everyone can steamroll the 2nd oldest expac. And in this case people in BFA were already working on legion raids and then apparently they broke it and they can’t do it at all anymore in SL.

And that pisses people off. I guess I haven’t tried to solo any of it so I can’t be sure of how hard or easy it is, I do know in BFA I was able to solo mythic nighthold (barely) so if I can’t now I would say they grossly missed the mark.

Y’all ever feel like WoW expansions don’t even have much content? Most of them just seem like a game of “how well can we hide there isn’t anything to do”.

Take away the time gating on abilities and gear progression and there really isn’t much to a WoW expansion. Gate it too hard though and nobody wants to play it.

Oddly enough legion isn’t that good of gold/hr for them to gate in this way.

Just makes no sense to be honest.

Yeah. It has whats called content islands. Doesnt feel like a vast open world.

Bellular is an uninformed, alarmist hack.

Those 6-month sub deals are expiring soon.

Honestly, I don’t doubt it at all. Only question is if Blizzard will stop being mobile devs and start making good decisions.

Demand more. Speak with your wallets. That’s totally cool.

My point in this thread has simply been that people making statements about some minor thing being the reason literally MILLIONS of people stop playing the game is a total joke though. Shadowlands didn’t lose millions of people because of pet battles or flying or some minor pet issues.

How would you know?

Most of them, though, make money on saying how great WoW is or trying to make trash palatable. As much as I like Taliesin and Evitel, they are the biggest shills with Bellular (ironically the same from the title of this thread) being the second. Their criticisms are very kid gloved and Taliesin and Evitel use the posts where people are irrationally loud and hating the game to make all people hating the game look stupid.

The only way to save this sinking ship is to jump over board.

They have to keep making money. They built their jobs on making content based around wow. They will shill it till the (cash) cows come home.

Because that’s what people always whine about. Look at the front page of this forum, and one can reasonably expect to see those same complaints contained within this thread.

Oh yeah, I understand it too. I don’t blame them. It is probably a grueling job because to me, sticking to some sort of schedule and constantly pumping out videos would suck.

But don’t worry people of the forums, Sentenza is here to dismiss all your concerns and tell you they’re minor, they shouldn’t matter, and wow is fine.

Bellular isn’t a shill. He’s a sell-out to the community. He loves the game when the community does, and he hates it when the community does. One video he says Shadowlands is great, another video he says it is on its deathbed. Just depends which way the wind is blowing.

Wouldn’t surprise me. Big dip in subs happens after every new expansion.
