Half Elves in TWW

You might want to actually read the thread.

No confirmation yet but even things unconfirmed like the Harronir look possible. :8ball::robot:

This is the wow forum

You’re right, AND you’re posting on a trolling alt. What was I thinking.

(On the /ignore list you go!)

If Blizzard is going to include more half-races they need to give them different models. Half-elves just being humans and half-orcs just being orcs is so lazy.

Also if they’re going down the half-race thing they should go all out. if Draenei/Orc is possible then there are no limits on what is possible.

Seriously, where’s my half-starfish / half-tortoise?

We have in Half Orc Half Ogres (Moknathals like Rexxar) and Half Orc Half Draenei (Like Garona). My only disappointment is just that Garona doesn’t look like she has any Draenei heritage, at least in game.

I could easily see them adding the customization to humans, void elves, blood elves, and kul’tirans

They apparently have an entire empire that possibly might be on the mysterious ‘other side of the planet’.

Brewa bringing the 1950’s back with a vengeance over there. I’d go further with the joke but Blizzard is way too trigger happy on sensitivity.

Yea this fellow should be reported for trying to show support for racial inequity and racial supremist from her own believes in real life.

What? No. Just point and laugh at him for being orthodox about fantasy for no reason.

I hope you stretched before jumping to that conclusion.

Knocking at Blizzard HQ
Writers: Yes?
Brewa hands them a cease-and-desist order
Writers: What?
Brewa: You’re in violation of the fantasy orthodoxy. Humans are supposed to be with humans. Elves are supposed to be with Elves. Please re-read official rules of fantasy.
Writers: But this is the Lord of the Ring trilogy… In paper-back.
Brewa: It still counts!

I agree! At least they gave rexxar his own model!

Don’t be silly, most of this is in the Silmarillion.

But anyway, like I said earlier, the line is Tolkien → AD&D → WoW. The problem is that Gygax was probably just ripping off from Elrond’s name, since the Silmarillion wasn’t even published until shortly before the PHB was published.

But the real thing is that there weren’t any half-elves in WoW until Knaak wrote up Vareesa, and that’s a whole 'nother can of worms.

Yes! :white_heart:

I think the old timer has too much stimulation. Get his meds and a glass of water. Time for bed.

I mean… WoW has half-orcs & half-elves, but no, for example, half-dwarves.

Why?

Because D&D didn’t have them. The xerox is pretty plain on all this.

I admire your knowledge of Tolkien’s Worlds!
