No thank you. Alliance already has 2 Elf races, 2 Dwarf races, 2 Gnome races and 3 Human races and 2 Draenei races…Panda is the only original idea but they are also Horde

I like elves don’t get me wrong. But the fact that now both the Alliance and Horde have Blood elves is too much.
There are a lot of other super cute/cool-looking bipedal humanoids alternatives. Space Goats ̶s̶w̶a̶g̶g̶l̶e̶ immediately come to mind as an example.
Unless they’re hot, players probably aren’t going to play the ‘creative’ races most of the time. At least compared to humans and elves. People just want to look good. I’m not saying don’t make it, but I see it as wasted resources.

I dont even remember the point I was trying to make lmao. OH. Yeah. Doesn’t even have to do with who I’m replying to. I’m on the fence about half elfs. Just do short ears on velf and you’re good. Doesn’t have to be a core race, that also seems wasteful cuz you can realistically just do that on an already added allied race.
Half elves could be a hybrid of any elf race and any other race. Never happen.
I don’t know about the orc+elf. I feel like we would just end up with a big goblin. Hmmm…

If we start with half elves, people want also the half-orcs to be playable. In return, we’re going to discuss cross-faction breeds and the rather impossible ones (Pandaren x Human/Orc, Gnomes/Goblins x Tauren, etc.)
This is a can of worms nobody wants to open. Even if Blizzard gives into the half-request, it’s a nightmare through and through.

So…like Vareesa’s boys then? I’m not 100% on this but I think if they add half elves they’d have to do it for…most the compatible races elves could pair with. Sadly this most likely won’t happen as well… some elves be very picky on what they permit. Like I can’t see some of them permitting mixing their bloodlines with other races, not saying all elves do that but well… there’s a reason there isn’t any night elf/ tauren children running around moonglade if an example is needed. Vareesa’s lucky as no matter what anyone says her babies are safe as well… high elves didn’t care that one of their numbers had children with a human. Half elves just opens up way too big a can of worms… because well… the time period everything goes down in had a lot of prejudice and people sticking to their codes of ethics, people who violated some of those rules got exiled or… worse and…yeah. I mean look at the gnomes for an example… they frown upon goblin/gnome relationships or well the ones in charge seem to and while yes goblins are horde and such… there’s more to it why a certain goblin/gnome couple has to hide the fact one of them is not a gnome but oddly green.
Great, I get it that you’re upset at the new Void Elf customizations. But you have to realize that they’re here to stay and they aren’t going anywhere, not even with a new Half Elf core race option.
Having said that, I wouldn’t support a Half Elf core race. I think Half Elves should be developed through customizations, both in Blood/Void Elves and Humans (maybe even Forsaken).
OR, they could design some sort of interbreed option where you select two races and get a half race, with a mix of racials, and choosing your faction.
I don’t think that’ll happen, but one can dream.
What is this elf fixation with Alliance players? It’s very creepy.
Which half of the Elf would you play, the top half or the bottom half? Would it really be that fun just playing an ambulatory pair of legs? Or would your Elf be split down the middle lengthwise and you have to hop around everywhere?

To be fair, though, Kalecgos’ form is a Half Elf, and uses the Human model.

Lol no. High elves was originally highborne that gotten shorter and paler when they arrived in the Eastern kingdoms.
