Personally I think Nightborne should have kept the Night Elf model. You can see they used to have it through one of the cinematics.
The Nightwell shouldn’t have been enough to change their body structure when not even the Sunwell does that to the Blood Elves.
Blizzard was obviously trying to pull a Dark Trolls + Well of Eternity but it was just dumb.

Yeah, you wouldn’t want the main thing you can use as (poor) leverage to go away.
If I add a flower to my hair, it doesn’t mean my life will change and revolve around that flower, and specially, it won’t mean I’ve become a different species.

When they’ve changed to the point they don’t even bleed the same color as what they used to, yeah, it kind of does.
A flower won’t change the color of the blood of tauren, or be a sign of that even happening.
EDIT: I was expecting Lore alone to make the poor comparison.

Well, neither does a different skin color.
If I get a tan or hang out in my dark brew cave, it’s not a fundamental change.
The void elf skins are as canon as white furred worgen.

I’m saying that the skin tones are obviously something Blizz wanted for void elves.
And no matter skin tone you choose – purple or pink, if you rolled a void elf, you’re a void elf. And “canon.”

And if it was at least a good argument… Goglin never had a fat model, Forsaken never had a elf model, regular orc never had a brown skin like garrosh, KT doesn’t have Jaina model, LF draenei doesn’t have a Turalyon human model and regular gnome doesn’t have a electric heart model…
I don’t know why being different from the leader race is all of sudden unacceptable… Oh yeah in fact i do know why, because of high elf…

The last comments were VEs weren’t recruiting like the HE fans used to always say and point out but now you claim with no additional statement from Blizzard that this is untrue?

You’re bringing up
Things like this and trying to justify the new skin tones when simply the HE theme is canon for BEs, its a RP tool for VEs with no further commentary on the matter.

Have you seen peoples reactions to wanting to change Alleria to reflect the void?
Some I can respect their reasoning but for the most part I think that is where the organic storyline should take off with.

If it doesn’t have any material to back it up, which it doesn’t, it’s not canon.
Following their logic, they should be bleeding a different color.
That’s something I’ve been saying for a while. But each time I do, it gets conveniently ignored.
Not to mention that Alleria is still not their leader.
But it’s also fair to mention that he also did include HE in his estament. You know… the thing VEs are not.

I don’t think so, I haven’t ever seen him be pro HE and I vaguely recall seeing him a few times in the threads, I think his point was you can’t look like Alleria and its not the end of the world but the fact its the HE community making these arguments it makes sense to him.

Not exactly.
People has used her as an excuse to either explain the canon of the customization options and to ask for more of those.
Leaders and big lore characters have their own look, meaning, it’s not mandatory… otherwise, where’s my undead high elf model for Forsaken?
But they keep using her because of high elves.
