Guys who play as female characters? Got a question

What happened
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Recently I decided to boost this character so I could join my friends in MG for a bit of RP. There is a lot of stigma surrounding guys who play as female characters and I just so happen to be a guy irl who playing a female character alliance side on moon guard for RP purposes. I ran into a problem recently with my horde side raiding guild. When they found out about this character they accused me of being an ERPer. I was shamed in the discord and then booted from the guild. Now this character wasn't created for ERP purposes. The clothing style just fits in with the RP backstory of the character. She uses her seductive looks to distract potential enemies.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
My question
Now I want to know from other guys who play as female characters how often you've run into problems when people find out that you are a guy playing a female character. Same goes with people who play on Moonguard; Especially those in skimpy mogs? How likely is this to be a problem for me in the future?
I've never run into any problems, been playing mostly female characters since Vanilla and this is the first time I've ever heard of a "stigma".

Used to work with a guy on the late shift, on call, who spent his time trolling forums as a 15 YO girl named Candy. Was hilarious. Sort of shocking too.

It's fun to go in chatrooms and say "Hello Chatroom. I am a 13 year old blonde girl who feels alienated from her peers and has distant, disapproving parents who just don't understand me. I am looking for a father figure who is willing to cross state lines for friendship and mentoring. I will provide you with the a hotel address where we can meet. Please come unarmed."

None. Ever.

It's disappointing because I was hoping thirsty virgins would give me free stuff..
Did you know that I am not actually a goblin irl? Yea I know. It surprises many too!

I just assume everyone in this game is a Wookie on the other side of the screen.

uh really?

is this actually a thing?

why would there be any stigma?
what's wrong with not wanting to stare at a male butt for hours?

Some dudes are so homophobic that they don't want to risk even having fake interactions with another guy.

Also they're a bunch of creepers who seem to think that being in an RP relationship is tantamount to dating someone IRL. It isn't, and that mentality is why a lot of women avoid that sort of RP outright.

I play almost exclusively female characters in online games and I don't think I've had anyone assume I was a girl IRL since like... when Ragnarok Online was new

got a bunch of free stuff out of it!
In WoW or life , I don't care what others think.
All my characters are female Simply because I never like the look of the male models

No one has given me flak for it though
The OP literally isn't wearing any pants. Are are you sure you aren't an ERPer? Get some pants on, link us your backstory, guild and maybe talk more in character and MAYBE I'll believe you.

Male gamer logic. "If I am going to stare at a behind, it might as well be a pretty one." The OP aint fooling no-one.
Everyone memes about how there are no girls on the internet, but there are. They're just hiding from you because you're gross.

Hi this is Elae on a male character is this better do you feel my arguments and opinions have more validity now?

I think bfa has crap rewards the Diablo fiasco puts a bitter taste in players mouths but the future of wow looks okay.

Are you going to listen to me more now that I'm a male orc?

My cover has been blown!
Look,

Pay attention.

If you are making a character that uses sexuality as a weapon you are only VALID against folk that FIND YOUR CHARACTER attractive.
You do not have a magic aura that can make tauren nervous, you are not going to somehow have male bears wanting to do lewd things with you.

Do you get it?
You are a one trick pony on a server where that is only valid for getting more gold in an inn dancing.
It's great for "diplomacy" and "spy" play, but then most feme fatals have something called class and style, neither of which is a lack of pants. A slit up the side of a clinging dress..sure. There ARE dresses for that, go get one.

Your killing outfit should be brutally practical UNLESS you are again, doing that .. I'm at the dinner to poison you routine. Which works out horribly in online rp btw, too many folk pretending they can move you, you forcing your actions on them ..it all goes bad fast.

So The problem is there is no way that this isn't a ERP character. You use sex, sex is going to happen, even if it's an almost with knife to the throat before it gets too sketchy. IT'S STILL SEX, get it? Thus it's still ERP. There are a myriad of folks out there who love the chase, and they will delight in making you eat this whole concept for breakfast ..insert various extreme kinks here.

You want a sexy character, be a person first.
Amazingly sound writing advice from the wow general forums.
No problem here, play what you like, i have female and male toons, i dont really like to RP tho so cant answer that part.
My wife hated that my character is a girl wearing !@#$ mogs. I didn't get what the big deal was till she got an account cuz of pandas and made a buff human male priest as her toon....

With relationships thats were things can get extra complicated. Its like this. If you play wow with someone. I guess it kinda ruins your immersion if your so is playing a character the opposite of the gender that you are attracted to them of irl. Thats something that'd need to be worked out between couples though.

This is a new and unique thread.

Your name, your guild name. You deserve so many more upvotes just for those alone.

No there's not. Just a few randos who get bent about silly stuff. Guess what, I'm not really undead, either. Shocker, huh?

Wait, you mean there aren't real life zombies!?
