Guys who play as female characters? Got a question

As far as I'm concerned it's really no one's business what my gender is regardless of the gender of the character I'm on. If I'm asked? Sure, I'll answer. But it shouldn't really matter.

If they kicked you for such a ridiculous reason then they did you a favor. You don't want to be around people like that.
I'm confused with this post. Normally I think all players are Male doesn't matter character gender or name.
I’ve only got 1 female character and that’s nightborne, in my experience usually when they find out I’m a guy it’s like “OH HAHA me too” *radio silence* till I or they remove me lol!

But no I never ran into EPERS (I also am leveling on mg). If your hanging out in Silvermoon or goldshire then yea... there’s only 2 reason female toon will be there sexy time or 12-32 year olds who troll and are DK’s.

Literally never.

This.

I've had freaks and losers whisper me about how cute my character is (and I've gotten some really, really weird ones about sexual desires), but I don't consider that to be a problem. I just call the person out, tell them I'm a guy, and let their head do the rest.
invincible dropped for me last night Yay!!! only 3 runs to get it! =)
Guy In Real Life

Well to be fair. This GIRL can also mean Girl in real life and believe it or not have met many real life women playing this game. Even those playing male characters in skimpy mogs.

If you can't figure out the difference, and the reason for it, please refrain from playing scantily clad ladies until you do.

Now if only there were more actual real women to play this game with.
Try again.

Yes.
TLDR of the OP: Begone thot!

That said, your transmog deserves an eye roll.

Idk, throw some Warbear Woolies in the mix and it would be a pretty cute outfit.

Or some sort of pants. It really does need pants.
I got into situations where a player would become very friendly.
Suspiciously friendly even.

The first time it was in Wildstar. When he asked about my gender and I told him the truth he became vindictive.
The second time it was in WoW and I never told him I was a guy. It just never came up. At some point it got too weird and I deleted my character as a result.

Other than that I've been complimented on my appearance maybe twice in 9 years.
I have never had an issue and never will.
A sad commentary on our society, that in almost the second decade of the 21st century, this is still a thing people obsess about.
Only idiots care.

Wait are you saying that isn't what people mean by raiding without pants?
I have several female characters and frequently have them in skimpy mogs because the whole "tanking in a bikini" thing cracks me up. I can't recall ever having had someone react bad enough to me being a guy in a female character that the memory stayed with me.

Only problem I've ever had playing a female was with my ex. Every other interaction with normal, sane people (by comparison) has been fine and met with indifference.

Girls often project themselves into their characters or create a fantasy character. I doubt they want their character to flirt with a female character who is supposed to be their lover.

This generalization has no bases except for your own experience. I play on both female and male toons, there hasn't been any issues.

I do agree with original poster there are still dumb people who shame guys for playing female toons. On both Horde and Alliance side.

I just shame people who only play elves for personal reasons XD

None of the people I play with give two hoots about the biological gender of my video game avatar because none of the people I play with are idiots.

Okay, well, maybe a couple of them are idiots, but they still don't care about the fact that I have female characters.
10/10 OP. The little touches like rolling with literally no pants on your "totally not ERPing" toon are what made it master-class.
There is a lot of stigma surrounding guys who play as female characters

There is?

News to me.
