I would have cared, but I lack empathy.its really not a big deal
Good riddance
Iâve never seen an answer on the EU forums xD One big complaint we have over there is that Blizzard seems to pay way more attention to these forums.
Yeah, it is true that guild should be stored somewhere internally in the game database. Guilds could be stored in a cross-realm table not belonging to any server, or they could be stored in the original realm database.
The things is that Blizzard doesnât need to clarify how those things work internally (and probably they donât want to reveal it). And they donât need it, because it is irrelevant.
It doesnât matter. With guilds cross-realm and cross-faction everyone would be able to join any guild, access the guild bank and use any other guild feature, no matter if the guild is assigned to the original realm internally, to the GM realm, or to no realm.
No, you wonât. With guilds being cross-realm you wonât need to move the guild out of the realm.
If you are in a dead realm and you want to move to a realm with more people, first you must consider to change your way of thinking because for all purposes realms are no longer relevant, dead or not. Everything except one thing is cross-realm so the realm you are doesnât matter. Except for the AH.
Then if you want to move to another realm, you must first reconsider if expending your money for this is worth it. I said it is not because with warband banks you can move items between any realms so you donât need to move to access any realm AH in the region.
Second, if you still want to move to another realm, then⌠Do it. You can transfer your character. It is true that your guild will be stuck in your original realm but who cares? Your guild will become cross-realm so you can move your character to another realm while still being part of your one account guild. Maybe you will need to make one of your ats GM of your guild before transferring your character, but thatâs it.
You not only wonât be stuck in a dead realm. It will be cheaper to move out of your dead realms thanks to all the cross-realm features.
Never mind I went and read the article.
Because it is no longer a useful microtransaction. In TWW Guild will become cross-realm which means this will change from useful into worthless. Blizzard could keep this feature so people like you who donât understand it is not needed anymore can waste their money paying for nothing but they have the decency to not do it.
Some people have to be right no matter what.
Its simpler than that even. You just invite a character from another server and promote them to GM. Boom your guild is on another server. Change your form of thinking too
Will the Guild Technically still be on the old server? Yes. You are however now GM and managing it from a differant server
Yeah, except I am not incorrect because I wasnât talking about moving the guild because that doesnât matter anymore. I was talking about moving the character if the character transfer microtransaction still doesnât let you move a GM of a guild to another realm or faction and he wants to keep being the GM of his guild.
Anyway, youâre missing the point. My point is that it is irrelevant in which realm is the guild. The guild could be in the original realm, in the GMâs realm or in a database table not attached to any realm. There is absolutely no difference between those 3 options when any character from any realm can join the guild. Which means you should be the one who change your form of thinking.
Thatâs the problem, if AH arenât cross realm and guilds are stuck on certain realms, then suddenly a guild that has members that span multiple servers can make local AH purchases to deposit in the guild bank and start AH farming and flipping items onto other realms. It would be a complete disaster.
Now if the AH was cross realm for everything too, it would be different. So pending further clarification on changes, who knows.
Are you aware that everyone will have a warband bank in TWW that works cross realm?
Are you aware that cross-realm trading restriction was removed this expansion? This means anyone could invite any player from any other realm and trade gold and items cross-realms and cross-faction.
That is why those clarifications you ask are irrelevant. Because cross-realm guilds wonât introduce cross-realm trading into the game. We already have cross-realm trading.
does this include the wow token cause its in the same space as these and they didnât give a definitive list
You know, I understand retiring realm transfers because cross-realm guilds are being added.
But an Alliance-led guild cannot be passed to a Horde character and vice versa.
So the Guild Faction Change still has a use.
I thought that was changing in the pre-patch.
Who cares? All real reasons to be part of a guild except for mythic raiding guilds and a guild tag have been thrown away. lol
Mount Up, Hasty Hearth & The Quick and the Dead.
Could you please tell us if we can now faction change without having to rejoin the guild and without losing guild rank and reputation?
So going to let Horde and Alliance queue together?
itâs the 23rd
