Exactly.
Meaning you can invite from other realms.
Exactly.
Meaning you can invite from other realms.
or that realm restrictions are gone. Thats literally what Blizzard said. Realm restrictions along with realm Mythic Raid restrictions are removed.
That doesnât mean.
Thatâs just your interpretation not fact. So Iâll wait for actual facts from Blizzard.
Only thing I take from that is, restrictions are removed to do cross faction stuff and joining guilds not on your players server. The guild still belongs to the original server it was created on. Granted the new guild leader might be on a different server or even a different faction. The guild was registered to a server, its information is stored somewhere on a server, maybe not the original server it was created on or the server of the current guild leader but its stored someplace.
Some people just want a blue post (which most donât reply so not to get pigeonholed) to confirm and no other players saying one thing or another and then the opposite happens, and they have money involved. Had I known that a server was dead before investing time into it and now having cash to server swap, I would be quite miffed.
Trust me, Iâve tried, and all I got was the same thing over and over. Canât even get an actual link to the interview. All I got was âGoogle itâ
What? Why is Blizz removing an actual useful microtransaction, while keeping the soft P2W services like boosts and wow tokens?
Please ADD guild services to Cata Classic store, I just want to change a guild name and that does NOTHING to ruin the âclassicâ experience compared to tokens, boosts, and the launch of Cata in generalâŚ
People are going to have to wait for that, maybe indefinitely, depending on Blizzardâs game play launch deadline.
People have 2 options:
A.) Get in Beta and try it out for yourself. Bring a Bnet friend when you do, as you need to be Bnet friends to invite the opposite faction on another server.
B.) Go to Google and Youtube to see what other Beta Testers have found out in their testing.
Another option not mentioned here is to wait until PTR and go test it there yourself.
If you are waiting for Blizzard to hold your hand to give you the warm fuzzy security blanket you need during Beta, you are setting your own self up for a rude awakening.
This is BETA. You donât get warm fuzzy blue posts giving you security blankets.
If you want to move your guild, move it. If you want to wait, then wait. If you want to know what restrictions are in place or lack of restrictions in this case when it comes to guild transfers, you can believe what I have tested here, what other beta testers are reporting, or NOT. Your choice. You can go watch YouTube, read some great, insightful blogs you search on Google, or get your butt in Beta and try if for yourself.
There are conflicting results and beta is not live.
Which has no useful information in this circumstance.
Not all of us are in beta. And when asked, we were given conflicting information, assumptions and insulting replies.
I want a blue post. Iâm not holding my breath, but itâs still what I want.
The only conflict Iâve seen from others is when they try to invite others from the opposite faction and they are not bnet friends first, and wonder why it failed. I myself have not had that conflict. Show me what other conflicts there are.
Prior to trying both the guild and the warband options, I watched Soulsobreezy, Bellular, and MrGM videos, which were really explanatory on every little detail. Iâve mentioned this in prior responses here.
If others are not willing to get in Beta, and those who ARE in beta report here in the forums, yet people who are not in beta argue persistently, repeatedly, incessently with those who are in beta, then yes, insulting replies are bound to be a result of that mistrust. Do you think that beta testers are reporting their results just to sound all high and mighty? And do you think beta is going to function the same as live and have the same persistent functions without errors? I personally have never experienced a beta that DIDNâT have issues (Iâve been in 3).
I have. I tried it with 3 guildies, all of which I have on bnet. I couldnât invite any of them to the guild I made on Khadgar, it just told me I needed to be Bnet friends with that person.
It also wouldnât let me invite them from their characters from Alleria to a group
while on my character on Khadgar. The game would register I was starting a group by creating a party raid frame for my character, but after 5 seconds that would disappear.
Would love to be able to test it myself, but thereâs definitely something wonky going on if itâs not working for everyone.
Iâm not going to watch a bunch of videos of people doing silly faces, wasting time shilling products and meandering around chatting about various things before maybe discussing what Iâm interested in. Why anyone would is beyond me, they must have a lot more spare time (and less value for it) than I do to spend hours like that. Iâll read nice and quick and easily searchable text which can directly answer my question, thanks.
I have very little interest in warbands, more-so in my question about how cross-realm guild banking works because I have a very specific problem that requires that to work.
Not when I asked. No one in clear terms stated that from what I could see. They just talked up being in guilds, cross-faction participation, cross-realm raids, grouping, etc. For all I knew Blizzard could have put a mechanism in place to prevent that as they often do all kinds of things to stunt a feature for reasons only they know. Mine is a very niche concern.
Tell you what.
I have my main, THIS character, copied over to Beta. I will log in over there in about 20 minutes (or a time frame that suits you better).
What is your toonâs name? We donât have to advertise our bnetâs here of course. I just want to be able to whisper you in-game and then figure out what the problem youâre having is to come to a solution.
Iâve had a smooth experience, so maybe itâs just a small piece of information that youâre missing or overlooked. Iâd be happy to help.
Then I highly suggest watching Soulsobreezy. His content fits most of your criteria.
Would you like me to invite you to my guild on Beta? Or you can search it. It is called Argent. I give everyone in there the same permissions so they can freely test things like that out.
I appreciate it, but itâs unnecessary. I do believe you when you say it worked for you.
I donât think they would remove the services if we werenât able to transfer ownership cross faction or server, so itâs likely just beta being beta.
Shame Blizzard didnât release a a bluepost with the service removal announcement detailing the changes just to have it officially somewhere.
Feel free to hit me up anytime in-game. Whether on Live (on Moon Guard) or on Beta, same name as I am replying with here.
Iâve already quoted the thread where someone tried to form a guild cross server and they couldnât. So testing whether guild leadership could be passed cross server on beta did not work for them.
Iâm in Soulâs discord. Iâve asked there. No one can answer if guild leadership can be passed cross server or cross faction.
Iâm giving information that there are conflicting reports and that beta servers do not seem to function the same as live. So passing guild lead cross server or faction is not a definitive fact that weâve found.
Youâre making some pretty wild assumptions and going off for no reason.
And this is all people are asking for.
If its going to happen it will more than likely will happen on the EU forums. May already have. Id patrol that. They tend to give more direct answers there. Not sure why. Been that way the past year or two
Thank you! Iâll keep an eye out.
Why does any of this matter when weâve had cross realm trading for months now? Just trade your items off your dead server if you care that much. Not a problem.
