Guild Services Retiring

Not really. Nothing has changed with that. Its just handled differently. Now you would just Faction change the toon that is the GM. So it pretty much works like before but now its not more expensive to do so by paying for the “GM Service”. Seems like Blizzard has eliminated the need to do that by rolling it into the regular faction change service

Have you tried to Faction Change as a GM? My guess is that it won’t let you unless you pass GM to someone else.

I tried. I went to the screen where I normally get the error. There was no Error. I just didnt fully Finalize it because I plan to use my faction change later.

It seems like that “restriction” has been removed and the Guilds “Faction Alliance” is not tied to the guild it self anymore its tied to the GM toon. The makes sense why they would retire the services

At some point? I will be faction changing my GM toon to Alliance. When I do if someone else doesnt do it and reply here first? Ill post a 100% sure answer here when I do it.

But its safe to say what I said above is most likely the case on how it works now

As promised here is my update

UPDATE: Tried it on a GM toon. Got an error on the final step when I hit submit I get the I need to pass GM error. So as a work around I just passed GM to a Level 1

I DOUBT this is “working as intended” waiting on Blizz for a better fix

Thanks for the update. I have a feeling it is “working as intended” though… only time will tell.

Create a lvl 1 called Guildmasterz or some variant of that. Invite it to the Guild and pass it GM

Its what I am doing and how I will faction change to Alliance and keep my “Horde” guild.
