Cheaper gold cost per slot… yes… but to match the number of bank slots you would need to have 5… yes FIVE accounts dedicated to being the guild bank…

I agree… and as someone who will run the guild bank I do not like the prospect of getting 12 toons all banked up… it is going to take a lot of work… more work than if they put in guild banks…

That depends on the situation and if you have access to withdraw. While yes there are conveniences. They shift around.
Just like it’s more convenient to mail things to the guild bank alt than it is to stop what you’re doing out in the world and go deposit in a guild bank or mail to your alt to deposit later.
More like time shifts than convenience.

And if you have 40 members in your guild you can have that space by having each member have 2-3 bank alts for it. The space was always in the guild for it, but account sharing, server stability, exc. Prevented it as very few people have to many active characters to have bank alts on any single account.
I feel like we are all coming to terms on this issue!

Not one guild in the history of this game has operated a guild bank across 40 members… not a good one that is…

The point is the guild already had the space available even in vanilla.

Apparently you have not read my posts on this topic. While guild banks would make my job much easier, the ability to horde resources in that manner is not good for Classic. I used to brain to see the potential problems with things like reputation, war effort and crafting mats not being forced into the economy due to lack of storage… But sure… I didn’t think this over at all…
If someone wanted to amass goods in vanilla they could.
I saw 2 “merchant guilds” in vanilla of people who were focused on controlling and manipulating the economy instead of pvp / raiding and they used their gold to get gear from raiding guilds.
Your “guild banks will cause this problem” already happened in vanilla.

It doesn’t count as using your brain if you fail to comprehend the core ethos of the Classic project and the stated design goals and then go against those. If anything it just makes a person look brain-dead, when there’s been so many interviews, streams, blue posts etc., stating that this will be ‘as close to an authentic version of classic as possible’ and people, mostly trolls, STILL continue to ignore this and create suggestions for EXPANSION features, in this case WRATH - NON-CLASSIC features to be added to CLASSIC.
What’s hard or confusing to understand about the aims of the Classic project? Seriously, it’s alarming how many people on here, thankfully only a minority bunch, can’t wrap their heads around words like ‘authentic Classic experience.’
Managing inventory with limited spaces is part of the Classic experience. Adding WotLK features isn’t going to happen, that’s not what this project has been stated to be for, 50m times already.
