Guild Banks Pt. 14

Did somebody say (guildbanks)™.

But didn’t stop it.

Right?

:cocktail:

It did once guildmasters got a handle on permissions.

It did stop it, as anyone who proved unworthy of the access lost it. If it was the guild master who was unworthy the guild died off and people found a new guild. Thus removing the guild masters free gold flow.

But without the log, you never found out if you were being scammed because of how the out of game logs could be changed to reflect different numbers, by changing how much was recorded as withdrawn or deposited a few months ago you could change the total number recorded in the guild bank alt and never get caught.

You realize you get over 100 inventory slots free per bank alt right?

The first free bag, the free bank room, and filling the mailbox.

But hay, your argument for guild banks ruining inventory management was shot down 13 threads ago… Try reading the discussion before posting, heck even just doing a “find in page” on “inventory management” would have found you the answer to your claim on inventory management.

Maybe at least skim the discussion before posting…

guild bank alt is your problem. No guild bank existed back in the day. i think it was added in TBC

How’s the '06 era PC build coming? And do you have an ISP with speeds from that time ready?

If not, that can also be considered a “non-vanilla QOL” change.

I’m ready. Rate my setup.

Not bad. Reminds me a lot of my first actual Windows PC, by that I mean the first one without needing to launch Windows from DOS.

If I had the extra cash I’d damn sure build a PC for Classic using only parts available from that time period, including the OS.

Guild bank alts is the problem that guild banks were made to fix.

It fixes all the transparency issues guild bank alts had, the account sharing issues, and other issues. Without actually changing any form of core gameplay.

Looks like an undead to me. However nightelfs evolved from trolls. Lol.

Yes, evolved away from being trolls.

Still in your DNA.

I don’t think gbanks are a go at this point with beta half way done, but I’ve decided that my personal bank alt will be the same class as my main. That way I’m not tempted to level it too much lol.

Lol. Then you realize if you level it. You will have dual spec.

shrug Tbh TBC had a lot of nice changes I liked. But 2.X changes aren’t exactly very Vanilla-y. There was a lot of issue in Vanilla that were addressed in TBC. At what point does it stop being ok to add TBC QoL fixes and starts being “No, this is based on Vanilla not TBC”? Because obviously these things made the game better and people want them. It’s why they were added in TBC in the first place. But what’s Vanilla without the inconveniences that caused the desire for things like guild banks, faster traveling (yay flying), dual specs, etc?

TL;DR: Dealing with the downsides of needing to trust someone with all the guild’s stuff and having space issues was just part of Vanilla. It wasn’t a good part of Vanilla, but it was part of it just the same.

So your trying to say guild banks are solely QoL… It’s been gone over before it offers much more than just QoL to the players.

But feel free to ignore all of that

Also not going into the blind Faith vs trust argument again.
