Fiasco? That breakfast discussion may have been the best conversation to ever take place on any forum ever. Respectful disagreements, awesome GIFs and just a generally good time. It beats the “I’m right, you’re wrong. I’m smart, you’re dumb” conversations that happen way too often.

It started in the lounge thread and carried into that gbank thread and keeps popping up randomly in threads ever since. Lol. I think it’s awesome but it’s pancakes>>everything else.
Since it’s 4/20 today we should take this discussion back to the lounge. Lol.

That didn’t change how people felt about flying in Draenor or RealID.
I said 18 months ago that if Blizzard decided not to do guild banks, that’s fine. But that’s not going to stop me from talking about it until that decision is made.

I will talk about guild banks until blizzard gives a definite answer on them.
As of yet they haven’t done that so, we talk on.

It is curious that we haven’t got an official announcement about banks yet. We have official info for other issues but guild banks * crickets *.
This is how we know its potentially on the table in my opinion. And if it is, I really hope they implement it in an authentic as possible manner.
As the most recently updated Guild Banks thread, I can happily report that the Guild Bank interface has already been ripped out of the Classic client.
If they haven’t yet gone beyond closed Alpha, how can you possibly know?

It’s another false facts to support no changes.
It might be true when that info actually comes out, but until there is actual evidence on that, it’s not fact nor truth, just speculation based on his opinion.

The Interface packages (the Blizzard Built In Addons) for the Guild Bank interface have been removed from the Alpha build on the public CDN.
Actually supported by removed files on the CDN.

Or not implemented yet as they haven’t made up their mind on the matter. Which is also a possibility.
2 things can confirm no guild banks in classic.
- blizzard actually directly says it.
- Classic launches with no guild banks. (Including no mention in the release phases)
Those files your talking about also likely lack some things we know will be in classic. Like DM, naxx, exc. Because it’s going to be “delayed” content as they are releasing content in phases. Guild banks could be left out until a later phase as they try to get it working how they want. The problem is WE DON’T KNOW. We can speculate based on what evidence there is, but opinions blind people to reach conclusions without enough evidence.

I don’t think you understand here.
They’re reworking the Retail client to be used in Classic. Where a Blizzard Addon is removed because it isn’t appropriate, it means either a) its not part of Classic, like Azerite Talents, or b) its replaced with the Classic version like Trade Skills is.
The Guild Bank UI has been completely deleted from the Classic build. They wouldn’t do that unless they decided it wasn’t going to be in Classic.

This entire discussion seems to be ‘it will have no impact/is merely a convenience, so let’s include it,’ which is a very dangerous argument all things considered.
I like and respect the OP, but c’mon man, why give the enemy a loaded weapon? Let’s safeguard this project til its up and running, as pure as we can get it, and then discuss adulterations later.
