I support add-ons and players using add-ons. I would prefer a player use an add-on over baking a non vanilla function in baseline.
As you said, plugging a USB adaptor into a cigarette lighter is akin to using an add-on.
Installing a USB interface is akin to baking that add-on functionality in baseline.
Maybe I want to “James Bond” up my car. Add all the features, whistles, and gadgets. Still has nothing to do with WoW.
How’s that old PC coming along?

Classic is not about “James Bonding” vanilla with all the bells, whistles and gadgets.
Classic is about authenticity and recreating vanill as close to vanilla as orcishly possible.
If you want Classic + with a all those bells, whistles and gadgets, feel free to campaign for a decade or more for Blizzard to provide what you desire.
Ok man. Somehow a car now = Vanilla WoW…
Update us on that classic PC you’re making for the authentic experience, when you have a chance.

I’m still waiting on the link he has where I said that traveling to a dungeon isn’t social.
He only picks at only the stuff he thinks he can get traction on. Ignoring everything else. Gotta say, he’s pretty good at doing what he does, even if it’s all baseless other than “authentic”. We’re not getting authentic, we’re getting close though.

Look at this crap he’s pulling with not knowing my answer about a dungeon finder. We had a whole convo about it, he replied, and that was the end of it. Now he’s saying “well don’t you want a dungeon finder?”. Like…what? The dude’s retired and this is what he does in his free time? Troll WoW boards?
He knows what he’s doing. It’s about getting a reaction and going in circles to get it.

Yeah. After we had settled on his derailed topic of restoring a corvette, that a usb charger would be ok.
I decided to go back to adding stuff to the car. He jumped at the chance to compare a car to WoW, as if that was supposed to be sensible.
All the while he ignored any point I made, sarcastic or otherwise.

Guild banks were added in patch 2.3. Smells more like strawberry than vanilla.
Everyone on this forum knows it wasn’t in Vanilla.

I seen someone else’s post about it costing a decent amount of coin. 1000+G or so to buy a gbank tab. I think something like this could work.
It would allow the Vanilla guilds who don’t want Gbanks, an option to not buy into it. Which will give the #nochanges exactly what they want. Their own management system the way they want, and no need to pay gold either. Win-win
And… that’s it.
The guilds that want it. Can pay to have it, instead of managing it the Vanilla way

Guild Bank Alt. It’s literally in the name. The only thing missing was the in game storage and log.
For your car example. I would not restore a 66 vette. That car is trash.
68 Pontiac GTO now we’re talking. Yes. I would upgrade the sound system because I love my music. Yes. I would upgrade the brakes, suspension, and I may even add power steering. Know why? Because I would be buried in my classic ride. Lol.
