Guild Banks Pt. 14

Fesz, EVERYONE sees through your game. Everyone. Like, I don’t even know why you bother. All you do is accuse people of things they never said.

lol this thread again? gah you guys just wont let up.

A proponent of guild banks chose to necro this thread in order to raise it from the depths of the underworld to which it had descended.

Guild banks wouldn’t wreck any part of Classic. Whether they make it in game or not, I don’t really care. I would use my guild’s bank if we had one.

Shhh your honesty is showing

Im not arguing for or against said change but I’d imagine it could be worked in in the same way we are getting ,now, limited loot trading for the sake of saving on CS tickets.

A big negative is just simply #nochanges but I believe it extends into the mindset of not really knowing what’s going on. Just like when loot-trading and sharding was first brought up there was confusion because people couldn’t see those features working any other way then how they currently work on retail.

Would guild banks, in their current iteration, negatively effect gameplay? Without a doubt. But that’s not what OP is asking for.

Will I play with out the inclusion of a guild bank? Of course.

Will I play if they added a guild bank that functions the same way your own personal bank worked in Vanilla with the only additions of being able to set who can take things out and a log to see transactions? Also yes.

If they said they are adding guild banks I’d think it’d be silly to think that would include a faster hearth cooldown, guild bank repairs, the bank gaining interest on not what members put in but on what each member loots in general and so on.

TLDR; If your asking for it I wouldn’t keep your hopes up and if you’re worried about it being added, don’t be.

Would you prefer 20+ gbank threads like the alt brigade does for the topics they support? I have 50+ alts. I can make a new thread for each if you prefer that over one thread. That seems to be the norm around here. Also 9 days is a necro? On an infinite scroll thread? Lol
You’re just mad because you know what I’ve said is the truth. You just won’t admit it.

2k+ comments lol Jesus…GG

Well said my gnome friend. That is how I feel. It won’t stop me from playing either way. It will change how i contribute to my guild in game though. I’ve seen what goes on with GBA’s. I know this free gold stream is abused.
Also all of those alts logging in and out at prime time could cause blizz to shard prime time. We can’t have that. I would rofl though if GBA’s caused sharding at prime time. Then I’d be mad and that would probably cause me to quit. Lol.

This is by far going to be the most entertaining reveal for Classic. I don’t want sharding but this has officially moved up to the top of my watchlist for potential changes.

I expect the “I told you so” comments to rage on for months after Classic release regardless of what happens.

Singing

This is the thread that doesn’t end
It just goes on and on my friend
One day Padre started it because he wants guild banks
That was two thousand posts ago now everyone say thanks (this works even though it has to be sung oddly to fit in with the original)

Repeat x (infinity+1)

Truth?

The truth is that guild banks were NEVER part of vanilla, regardless of the less than honest mental gymnastics that some proponents of guild banks try to justify their desired non vanilla QOL convenience being added to Classic.

I don’t see anyone claiming guild banks were in vanilla.

Then you are either not looking very hard or are being willfully obtuse.

At least two people have tried to make the claim that guild banks were part of vanilla since alts were often used to store guild resources.

Were guild banks as they exist today a part of vanilla or no?

Is anyone claiming guild banks as they exist today a part of vanilla?

Religious much?

I don’t think this will be the game for you. There’s already been changes made.

You know that guild banks were not part of vanilla.

That does not negate the fact that at least two guild bank proponents have tried to equate the use of alts to store guild resources with guild banks being present in vanilla.

The mental gymnastics here got my head spinning.

Bank alts don’t equal G banks.

People have used bank alts as G banks, but it’s being used more like a bandaid for what wasn’t in vanilla.

Current vanilla G bank methods may as well be made of sticks and tape.

I say everybody makes a concession. The AV people agree to 1.12 and the anti guild bank people let guild banks slide. Or, the game gets 1.5 AV and no guild banks. This way, everybody is going to be unhappy about something but at least we’re chronologically consistent.

Except that 1.5 AV and 1.12 AV were both present in vanilla, but guild banks NEVER were.

There is no “chronologically consistent” with regards to guild banks.
