I have some hope. So the issue with Dalaran Defender gear disappearing in the warbank was a different issue. The items were temporarily converted to BoP and so were not allowed in the warbank. But it is a case of items being in there but not accessible. I noticed I had the problem when I put some stuff in the warbank and sorted without thinking. I thought “that’s more space than it should be.” and realized things were missing. I only had 7 items from the event, unlike some who had many sets worth.
The fact that other items briefly occupied the location of the missing items and were still returned to me, makes me feel that items still can be recovered in the guild bank if they were “covered up”. They probably exist is some temporary overflow area
I’m still not putting things in my guild banks, mostly just to make sure there is still space, if/when things are returned.
I have removed a few things because I had things to do. But don’t take this as advice on what you should do.
i also have hope, since blizzard aint any small little game company … but on the other hand, if this had been easy, they would have fixed it some time back … its been a long time now … i am not interested what caused this problem, and also not interested how they are going to solve it… i am just waiting there for things to be repaired … i wouldnt grumble so much if this is a free game, but its runs on a subscription… so waiting on my part is not exactly a happy thing … blizzard itself said it " TIME IS MONEY FRIEND"
I have this forum post bookmarked and I check it every day. I try not to be too much of an optimist (because that usually leads to being let down) but I guess a little part of me still holds out hope. Most of all, that it will be completely fixed, but at the VERY LEAST, that someone from Blizzard takes the time HERE or on the front page to acknowledge the problem and communicate what they know about it and let us know what we can do to make the repair more efficient. I didn’t realize that was a lot to ask of a large (now HUGE) corporation.
This is my issue as well… on top of the maintenance every other day seemingly, they’re just chipping away at my time. I’m at the point where if this isn’t fixed by the time my next sub is due I’m cancelling and saying screw it again. I pay for time and they take 2 days to answer tickets with non helpful answers, and any issues they take their sweet time. This isn’t some small indie company with no resources to throw at bigger problems… Don’t have enough staff to deal with it? Hire more, they just made bank on this expansion… They don’t have any valid excuses and it pisses me off when people defend them, by saying stuff like “things take time” or whatever non helpful additions they have, as if people don’t know the things they’re saying. What they fail to realize is you can say that on day one, two, three for the people mega complaining, two plus weeks later that does not compute. They found what the issue was around a week ago, how is there no fix yet? No communication on the issue either, no even roughest of ETA’s like “We think we’re nearing the end” or really anything than this radio silence.
I also don’t care about the EU forums and I know they got some vague responses, I’m not playing in europe and there’s no reason it should be silent over here if they’re getting responses and no one should have to go check other regions forums for some communication. They just keep dropping the ball and it’s beyond frustrating. I love the game but despise the people that run it now, because it honestly seems like there’s very little caring anymore. We keep their lights on, so you’d think they’d try to fix major issues like this immediately not let it go on for this long. But as others have pointed out they know regardless the majority of the fan base will continue to pay and play, so there’s literally no incentive to do anything in a timely manner.
I have two guild banks I have total and sole (as all of my family have stopped playing the game) access to. Both seem to be missing items. One of them is almost completely gutted. Mainly BoE gear, bags, toys, pets, mounts, recipes, and glyphs seem to be missing, but as I didn’t keep a complete record of each item that I have in each tab, it’s hard to tell exactly what’s gone. Please, please, Blizzard, fix this ASAP.
Keep an eye on this thread on the EU forums. Consumer protection laws in the EU basically require them to have more frequent updates and better communication. There isn’t a resolution yet, but when there is it will probably be posted here first.
This has reached insanity levels of ignorance. FIX THE GUILD BANKS. I had a guild full that showed up empty and I now have it getting filled back up by guild members. What is going to happen when this finally does get fixed? This is ridiculous that it’s been let to go on this long in the first place, you disabled warband banks when they were broke, why haven’t guild banks been shutdown?
At this point I’m just waiting for the “we can’t fix it, all your stuff is gone, sorry, here’s a free day of game time” post.
I’m not usually one to pull on these type of threads, but damn… the lack of communication has been unreal. I now believe that is what is happening. They are simply trying to wait it out.
My issues began at same time or around as the OP. I posted 2 weeks ago in this thread after the weekly reset (aug 13th). I’ve had 3 tickets, two of them, most likely AI generated responds, simply ignored both the title & the content of my ticket(s) to address issues I didn’t have (character stuck, game hints etc), the third ticket told me to go to the EU if I want an answer and provided a direct link to it. (I shared in this thread ~2 weeks ago as well).
Seems they have adopted the Microsoft model of assistance already: have volunteers try to answer most of the questions, while repeatedly state they “are not employees and are just volunteers” while the actual employees simply avoid any and all direct communication with customers to avoid making any sort of commitment or lack thereof.
Regardless, this could prove to make my mind up about this game. My interest has waned over 19 years playing, but this lack of communication has really kicked my interest/love for the game I have left, right in the gut.
Shi* happens, we know, but own it and talk to your customers.
It was more important to fix the Hallowed Glowfly battle pet and stop it from showing up in pet battles and couldn’t be caught …it wasn’t suppose to be in pet battles to get it…I am being sarcastic now …its nuts that Guild banks are still broken like this …I feel for you all really…it so damn wrong.
Not really a bug at this point. Just a slap in the face to wow players. The people most affected will now have poor views on blizzard. Always thought highly of blizzard, definitely not anymore.
Looked threw the EU thread for info, luckily they have laws that forces blizz to fix it yet nothing other then trying to put an item in closing out & seeing if that changed anything. It didnt, the logs how ever at least showed I put in one forstweave cloth & took it out, but everything is still missing.
It’s so sad the priorities Blizzard has. This has been here for weeks ignored, while they’re busy working around the clock to hotfix things like “omg people left a dungeon after the first boss”
How about just mail all items from the guild bank back to the character who deposited them until the issue is fixed? Or the guild leader, but that might get spammy…
