Is Blizzard still working on this at all?
I reported a bug a day or two after the issue occurred and was told it was being worked on, but still haven’t seen anything mailed to my GM character. 20 years of hoarding reagents from every trade profession are gone… 2 tabs completely gone, and the other tabs mostly gone. My guild bank was 7 tabs and had maybe 4 or 5 slots unused at the most. Many of my tailoring reagents, cloth and bolts, were full stacks.
How is it Blizzard feels it is at all acceptable to say sorry, nothing more we can do?
How is it Blizzard cannot restore the items? That makes no sense, you make the game…
That says to everyone you have no actual control over your own game and have no backups and don’t also don’t care about players time or money.
It used to be policy that player items were of highest importance. Is that not the case anymore?
How many players were affected by this bug? How about some transparency? Is it just not enough that you figure you can sweep it under the rug?
The communications, or should I say lack thereof on this bug have been completely abysmal. No updates for months, and then poorly worded and frankly very worrying updates. Are Holly, Ion or Chris aware of this issue? Maybe someone needs to let them know that affected players are not happy. Am surprised I haven’t seen virtually any mention of this by the Youtuber/Twitch communities…did they get their stuff back? Maybe we could get a real apology from someone in charge, instead of a community manager doing their best to share the very limited information they no doubt received.
Years back, Blizzard would sincerely apologize for issues and offer some form of peace offering such as game time, if the servers went down for any significant duration. Well I think nearly every WoW player and MMORPG player losing almost 20 years of hard fought items or reagents and then receiving virtually no explanation and no resolution is magnitudes worse. Most would feel this is inexcusable and should have been treated with the highest importance and sensitivity as well as some significant gesture offered! Losing time to servers being down when paying a subscription should be compensated… but losing all of the items people have spent literally hundreds or thousands of hours gathering and sorting, to receive nothing, is completely unfathomable and unconscionable…
You said in your WoW direct presentation if stuff is broken then you should fix that stuff… but that’s apparently a complete lie… cause by your own admission… you can’t fix it.
Do better Blizzard…improve your communications and give us our items back! Or do the ethical and responsible thing and compensate us for our time and effort lost…
How many players were affected… how many items were lost?
When will these recovered items supposedly be sent to GMs? Has it begun?
When will we receive an update to say everything has been sent?
When will the issue be closed?
When will we receive some form of proper apology?
When will we receive compensation for items lost?
What is still being done…if anything?
A seriously annoyed WoW Veteran…
Total /played = 1073days… 11hrs… and questioning whether to continue my subscription.
