There were restorations, limited in many cases as they said, but restorations. And the linked post has an apology to those effected and an explanation as to the situation.
I think that is going a little extreme with this comment, donât you think? These things couldâve happened anywhere along the entire Blizzard timeline, and the same results wouldâve been expected.
Blizzard does treat every player with the same concerns of quality and respect as they have done in the past, us players seem to take a lot of advantage of not realizing that, and usually end up going bonkers towards Blizzard.
Its not about not having compassion its about facing reality that if it couldve been restored it wouldve been already
personlay i think this thread needs to be closed.
Itâs not an ideal situation for anyone affected but posting here will do NOTHING for you.
But donât ever claim we, other players, show no compassion. If we didnât, do you think we would spend our time helping other players on this forum as many of us have done for over a decade?
Customer support (a player help player forum) or the CS team have nothing to do with developmental decisions within the game.
Agreed.
Replying to you isnât trolling. Not liking a reply also is not indicative of the other person not having compassion. Youâre making assumptions as to the motives or feelings of others when in reality, we are letting you know that this is beyond something that can be done via CS. It was a development decision.
If you feel it requires more of a response, youâre welcome to post constructively in the General Discussion forums.
This seems to be a common thing with folks - compassion is the same as agreeing with them. I can have compassion for someone waiting at McDs for a good while, doesnât mean Iâd give them any item off the menu as a sorry. I could have compassion for someone not liking an item they got from a surprised egg gift, doesnât mean Iâd give them my toy.
We can have compassion for anyone coming to this forum, but that doesnât mean weâd blindly agree with someone because they want to have pity tossed their way.
See, thatâs where youâre mistaken. People are replyingâŚnot âganging upâ.
The whole point of a forum, where players are encouraged to reply to other players, is to create a discussion and answers.
If you feel someone is doing that, report their post(s) and out them on ignore.
If itâs a regular here, itâs pretty unlikely that their posts are misinformation or non-constructive as the blue here tend to put the regulars in check with reminders and moderating posts.
That said, report and ignore if you donât feel theyâre following the rules.
But the fact that people are replying, not breaking the rules and you still use terms like trolling and misinformation, it may just be that you donât like what theyâre saying. Not that what theyâre saying is incorrect.
Without knowing who it is, and I donât need or want to know, Iâm not passing judgement, just offering a different point of view.
What apology could be given that would satisfy everyone?
How would you propose that Blizzard compensate everyone who lost items? Blizzard doesnât know what we lost so do they take the word of the player? In that case⌠I lost a lot more than I really did. And I assume a lot of people had the same happen to them as well.
Explanation? They gave of us one. And I agree the whole situation is bad. But sometimes bad things happen and we have to move on. Itâs not a grand conspiracy or a lack of caring. Sometimes they canât fix what was broken. Thatâs just life.
And with that eloquent reply, I think it about time this thread was closed.
Thanks, all.
