Morning folks.

Seems to be some issues with Guild and Community Chat this morning after maintenance. No real news yet - but it is being looked into. Just a heads up.

Just some info I’d throw out there it seems we are still in these communities and guilds just can’t access them. Good luck trying to fix it!

If you are currently having issues with the chats, please relog, see if that helps. If you find it does not, please do let us know. Same for any Battle.net issues, a fresh launcher may well help those.

I can’t invite friends to party thus we can’t use voice chat. We can’t do dungeons together. We can’t even fight together and be sure of what’s going on with our fellows.
Guild chat is totally nixed as well.
Any idea when this will be fixed?

As soon as it is. They won’t give ETAs on account of people going ballistic if they go even a minute over.

That’s true, isn’t it? People really do lose it on WOW when disappointed. heh
I’ll just have to wait then.

I have fully restarted the game a couple of times and am still not able to get a quest for a toon… Against Overwhelming Odds. I was able to get this quest on 2/3 characters but unable to pick it up on my character that I typically pvp with. i have tried having friends share it and it won’t share… PLEASE FIX THIS!!! I have also opened a ticket with support on this issue, but it won’t be answered in a timely manner and i don’t even want to log back in at this point until this issue is resolved on my character.

That isn’t broken, it was adjusted.

What exactly do you mean by being adjusted?? Because as I said I was able to pick the quest up on 2/3 characters with lower item levels, and my priest sits at item level 386, and I have had people who have higher item levels than that pick the quest up and attempt to share it with me and it tells them that the quest isn’t able to be shared

It isn’t available at the moment, if you had it already it is different than being able to pick it up now.

Ok so basically what you’re saying is it’s not available at the time, will it become available to players again on Alliance this week so that they’re able to complete this quest or are those players basically screwed out of getting this particular quest?? Or would it be better to abandon the quest on another character of mine in order to pick it up on the character that I would rather have it on??

The Warmode Bonus fluctuates. It is not available until it hits 20% or more.

According to the link Orlyia provided, no. Alliance doesn’t meet the Warmode bonus requirement this week.

Abandoning it on the characters that do have it just means they have to wait until next time they meet the reqs.

Welp there goes a week of Wow down the drain because I typically only pvp on my priest and with not getting the quest to slay 25 horde players there’s no interest in my logging in at all this week… so hope those who have the quest have fun with it…

Understand that it’s not a simple matter of “this week”. It’s possible that the quest could never return again.

It all depends on the A to H ratio as time goes on, and if Bliz as able to establish a decent, consistent ratio like they intend, then the quest would be gone indefinitely. On a side note, had it been available this week, the ilvl would have been 385, which sounds right where your priest is already.

You’re also free to kill as many Horde as you like without the quest.

Levithan, This is true that I’m able to kill as many Horde as I like without the quest. It’s not so much the quest as the factions not being balanced so if the quest could possibly not return ever, then why introduce it in the first place?? What to entice people to join one faction over another. I’ve played both factions as I’m sure many have and we prefer one faction over the other so therefore, the quest seems to me that it shouldn’t have ever been introduced if that was the intended purpose Blizz had in mind to “balance the factions” That has never happened nor do I ever see it happening personally. And if the other purpose was to get people involved more with Warmode I feel like it has failed as well because there are people on what used to be defined as a PVE server that have no interest in ever pvping thus throwing off the “balance” for PVP & warmode

Restarting the client is only partially fixing this for me. I can now see my communities but I am not able to talk in them. When I type messages they are not propagating into the community chat.
