Group loot

Blizzard,

theres no reason a player with iLvl 402 should be able to roll need on an item they have the upgraded version of already in LFR…

Fix your stupid loot system. This dumb Transmog need system is dumb and robs those with limited time to play of actual upgrades.

I ain’t gonna lower my ilvl intentionally, joining for transmog and I’ll keep it if I win it (if I do not have the appearance).

What is the solution? Give everyone the transmog if the piece drops? I am not opposed to that if that is the solution.

No, restrict rolling need. They don’t need the upgrade. They shouldn’t be able to need.

The same thing happened under Personal Loot, but that’s none of my business.

But my feefees get hurt when I see someone else win :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Except it didn’t.

There’s a massive difference between an overgeared person getting a downgrade from the boss via PL vs an overgeared person rolling need on something they don’t need and taking it from people that could use it.

PL doesn’t pit players against each other for loot, GL does. GG.

I am opposed to that. Someone should not be restricted from getting transmog or better stat rewards just because they have a higher ilvl piece. Furthermore, sometimes geared players are only doing LFR with the intention of getting the transmog, and eliminating that option for them would leave LFR with no geared players to carry it. Geared players would have no reason to run LFR if they couldn’t win any of the loot.

transmog. for most normal/heroic/mythic raiders transmog is the -only- reason they run LFR. would you really rather run LFR with a bunch of under-geared noobs who don’t know the fights? or get carried by people who know them -and- overgear it?

LFR would be virtually unplayable if it wasn’t for more experienced and better geared players running it for transmog.

Transmog is a valid reason to need. DE is a valid reason to need. Literally vendoring it is a reason to need.

What I do with my loot is my business. I don’t concern myself with who wins it or what they do with it because it’s none of my business.

Y’all just think that you’re entitled to loot and that these people are “stealing it” from you.

Sure there is. They participated in the kill. Everyone should have the same chance at the rewards.

but they killed the boss too.

except it did.

its exactly, 100% the same thing.

i dont know if you realize this, but if you win a piece of gear from PL… someone else lost out.

Solution is easy. Give all transmog colours for all of that piece of gear lower than what you have when you win it. Eg win a heroic shoulders, get the normal and LFR appearance as well.

I hate people rolling on any gear for transmog. Playing dress ups like a two year old doesn’t belong in the game

I am not opposed to this as well but then LFR will not have any geared players running it. Not that I mind that either.

No it doesn’t.

No thanks.

Item level is seasonal, transmog is forever. And if it’s a non-tier piece, like a ring, neck or trinket, the stats/abilities could be better than the ilevel.

Yes it did. The system rolled for them.

Yes it does. You just didn’t see the roll.

Transmog and player housing are two things that keep most MMOs going.

You’d also have to not let them in the raid at all if they overgear any of it, otherwise everyone should have the same chance at loot.

Enchanting mats or just going in for funsies.

I know some folks would just rather not have geared players in the group, but I never see complaining when bosses are melting even with half the raid dead or afk.

All they had to do was Make Personal Loot tradeable but instead they went back to a fail loot system that they got rid of and tried to make it better but it still fails in to many ways. Personal Loot Tradeable way to go. Saves so much headaches on loot discussions and hatefulness.

People keep forgetting that Blizz isn’t interested in making it that easy to gear.

0% the same thing.

Personal loot, the game rolls bebind the scenes. There were iLvl restrictions, which helped and could help again.

If the people who only want to vendor, transmog, ect…need every piece and zero upgrades are had for those who ACTUALLY USE lfr to gear never get gear, why go back? And this slippery wkope of saying these people who run for transmog are the carries? Stop trying to make this fallacy gospel.

Loot rules need to change. The need/greed system is broken when the people who actually NEED the drops done receieve them.

Ie, someone with a heroic mace drom VotI in LFR being able to roll need on the 30ilvl lower same mace when it drops and winning just to vendor it after appearance. Meanwhile there is a player who is 30ilvl lower on their mace, rolls need, juat to watch a selfish pig vendor an upgrade they didnt actually need.

Fix this.

The chides of a selfish troll. Your limitation of seasonal mewns your fine with keeping someone down seasonally ie as long as you want to widen your wardrobe. Youre what is wrong with this game.
