this. GL itself was basically a compromise so the devs could take out loot funneling.
So the part where an oveegeared player. An still get loot is different how?
Please explain how ilvl restrictions matter in this topic?
Big overgeared player gets lfr loot. Stick to that.
Thats not a slippery slope.
You know who didnt get loot in PL? 4/5 players.
Cough cough happens with PL.
Loot system seems fine to me… the guy who has gone 0/25 on WB’s so far. YMMV
I’m all for letting receiving a higher version of an item unlock all lower versions’s transmog.
Would be great for farming old raid transmog as well.
In personal loot. Youre not openly needing on gear bud. If you cant see the difference youre the problem.
Yes you are. Everyone in pl gets rolls towards gear.
Unless youre refering to the sad idea that visibly seeing your loss of roll is worse than… Just not winning.
In personal loot, everyone in considered a need.
Feel free to show how you can opt out of rolling, or lower your priority of roll with personal loot.
Its exactly the same, if you all roll need, you pretty much turns GL into PL, PL just roll it behind the screen (basically assume everyone is rolling need).
Genuine question, because I am curious. So with PL, it just assumes everyone is rolling need right? Does it factor in upgrades or tier or anything? I saw a blue post about some changes and I was wondering if there is an actual difference in the function of personal loot versus group loot besides rolling need/greed and visibility of who rolled.
It doesn’t, you can still get duplicates and downgrade in PL.
And restrictions incoming in
10.0.5. More to come after, point good guys.
