Grimrail Depot

Grimrail and Occulus seem to take the cake on players most hated dungeons but…

…may i add Halls of Reflection? The first part was such a boring LOS fest where the whole team had to stack into a corner because of multiple caster mobs. You couldn’t skip it and couldn’t speed it up much since the waves were timed.

i guess it doesn’t get such a bad rep because the second part where you ran away from lich king was so cool.

I voted for train and I enjoy the dungeon

Fixed it for you.

I plan on doing higher just man the dungeon is horrible for m+. The choice should only have been allowed for those that actually do m+.

How would they filter that? I mean i 100% agree with the mindset but i guess they just cant make polls because trolls will troll. This is the internet.

I voted dungeon mcdungeonface myself

Git Gud scrub. I ran multiple groups through it last week. It was easy if people actually do mechanics. Problem is a large amount of players can’t or wont do mechanics and then cry when they can’t finish the dungeon.

Did you have sanguine, quaking, storming etc affixes? i guess it changes things a bit.

Don’t get me wrong it’s clear the dungeon is doable in m+. I ran it yesterday successfully on my hunter. It’s just terrible.

Im sure they could do something with which character you are logged onto and their keys. Raiderio managed to compile all that info im sure blizzard could easily make something out of it.

Upon getting KSM, you’d be given a prompt:

  • “Congratulations ______! We see that you enjoy Mythic plus and would like to solicit your opinion on the dungeons we were considering to add to the roster.”

When I got KSM last season, I would’ve selected Grimrail Depot just the same.

Man there were dozens of threads about voting for grimrail to spite M+ players. Everyone that admitted to it ahould have been suspended from the game for 6 months imo

A contender for biggest meme ever.

Oculus was never hard and, in fact, many people actively cheered when it showed up. It literally was the fastest or 2nd fastest dungeon you could get yet rewarded 10 badges vs 3 from AZN, had a mount chance, and was largely not gear dependent since so much, including the last boss, was based on drakes.

Problem was so few people wanted to spend a brain cell on understanding the drake gimmick. 1 red and 4 bronze drakes literally blew the boss up in mere moments. Far too many people thought that not only did the person in a role need their respective drake, but actually ran the green drake which did nothing but make the fight take longer.

I’ll even tell you exactly how to do it. Make your worst player take the red drake. Everyone else get bronze. On the last boss, have 3 bronze drakes immediately use their channel ability on the boss, 1 timestops and then fires a single blast. This will instantly fill the 10 bomb stacks of the 3 other bronze drakes who then fire their blast while the 4th bronze drake who timestopped channels their beam. The damage from the 3 bomb stacks instantly fills the bomb stack for the channeling 4th and the 3 others go back to channeling…rinse and repeat.

The red drake exists purely to spam his beam and kill any adds the boss summons. That’s it.

If you do it right, you’ll have the boss dead in 4 of these back and forth shot wombo combos. You also got 3 other timestops for if the boss enrages.

As for the OP, yes Grimrail was a jerk pick by the community and I was part of that. In my defense, I didn’t think it would actually win but alas.

There’s no relationship between a hard dungeon and a good dungeon.

Sure there is. I mean even taking what you said as is implies a negative relationship.

Oculus was a great dungeon. You actually got a vertical scaling and progression experience and pretty unique boss encounters. Wrath, overall, had pretty good dungeons though.
