You…errrrrr…you may want to look up the definition of “irony” while you’re looking at the dictionary…
Not trying to give you a hard time. I just found it pretty funny.

Be glad they didn’t include the pvp achievements. Atleast with the assaults you know you can do them now. If they decided to include “Traversing the Spheres” for the SL meta with the Anima-charged Yolk then that would have sucked but the assaults are ok.
Just linking the achievement because I didn’t know about until reading this thread.
Maybe others will find it useful:
Same basic idea though. It was a very grindy, very RNG set of achieves. Though it turns out at this point I’m short a few Iron Amulets and Game Boards so… But I definitely slacked on the Draenor and later sets of achieves.
It’s an expansion wide meta, its not meant to be done super quick.
And if you really cared that much about it, why didn’t you do it when it was in PTR testing for a month? Or at least start looking to see what you needed to wait for, i.e. rotating WQs and assaults? Or the need for opposite faction toons. While the requirements have been nerfed this meta has been known about for 2 months now.
Because you dont know what going to be stripped or consolidated until it hits retail. I have EVERYTHING done except the world quest achievements for Nazmir and Vol’dun. Its super Annoying. kind of like trying to defend my view on my post.
Yeah, that’s BFA for you. It takes like 6 months to finish Nazjatar.
Sure that’s a risk you take. But if you really wanted it that quickly then that would have been the way to do it.
It’s what I did. I got the mount on patch release because I did all that stuff while it was on PTR. Including the one you are complaining about. There was only one achieve I did that got removed from the meta. So next time plan better if you really want it that fast.
For anyone curious, the world quest for Scavenge Like A Vulpera is not up again this time. Unless it somehow pops up in the next couple of hours.
Maybe one of these weeks/months it will line up with my play schedule and I can finally finish this dang meta achievement…
2 straight voldunai assault without the world quest. It’s already dumb enough that the assault can occur at anytime and not be long enough for normal working people to view them all (next one happens between 7am and 2pm on a wednesday)…
Yeah, it’s a little frustrating. Log in, check for the two world quests I need, log into another character and go do whatever the heck instead.
Other than a few days of Nazjatar leveling for Undersea Usurper, I literally ONLY need Scavenge Like A Vulpera. I wouldn’t really have an issue if not for the fact it only has a chance to spawn the world quest roughly every 4 days, and it hasn’t been up the last… 3 assaults? If they wanna leave it in it should just pop every Vol’dun assault, or have a much higher weight.
Yep, if anything these metas being added is giving me inspiration to get a leg up on Legion achievements. And we have no idea which ones will make it in, so best to cast a wide net.
Don’t be a silly goose. Everyone hates these rotating requirements that are needed for achievements, especially ones that feed others ones, ESPECIALLY ones that award a title or mount.
nah…vellani has a valid point.
some people have lives that
preclude them from being
immediately on top of these things.
Rotating requirements are fine imho but it doesn’t take into account a lot of people simply cannot play during that window of time. If you’re at work during the 7 hour window an assault is up, you’re SOL. People were setting alarms for the DF storms, waking up literally just to see if the right one was up. Blizzard hotfixed their spawn rates for a reason. There’s a line between something being a grind that takes time, vs something you’re just… sitting there doing nothing. When you are feeling no meaningful progress other than “wait 4 days and maybe you’ll luck out” that’s when people start to get frustrated. It’s not anything you have control over. They don’t need to make the quest available constantly, maybe they could just up the assault rate so there’s 2 up at a time.
Welcome to expansion-related meta achievements. Blizzard never learns of their mistakes. It’s the same stunt like the Necrolords part in the Shadowlands achievement or the Assaults in DF. RNG is never fun with stuff like this and requires players to basically camp in the game everyday so they don’t miss the chance.
Some posts here are a real treat, as always. Blaming the player for bad and frustrating game design, good job.
Immediately on top of things? It’s a 6 year old achievement.
so what?
nearly everything in the game is old.
you have no valid point.
6 years is not “immediate” by any stretch of the word.
