As Tovi said, whatever ‘seasonal’ thing that was googled was wrong, it was only available from the annual pass, or two regions stores only that could not get get the annual pass for the deal:

No, you did not have to play at all. You just needed to PAY a subscription fee each month. You did not even have to log in.

That’s not what this is about and I’ve said that several times. I don’t care how many people participated in the annual pass.
This is about Blizzard going back on their word. Nobody would have done the annual pass if Blizzard said “you can get the mount else where.” Are Blizzcon pets and mounts going to come back? If they did I know I would never buy another digital pass again because there wouldn’t be a point.

Why do you people keep using the McRib as an example? For one thing, it’s nasty. That has nothing to do with the point but I’m making it anyways. And for another, McDonald’s has been lying to us for like 20 or 30 years. Nobody believes them anyways.

This is more to do with people being under the impression that it is something that will never come back. Which means it’s exclusive and shows a period of time in the game that they played. Not that any of that matters anymore, it seems. XD

I am a once proud owner of a flex mount known as Tyreal’s Charger. I participated in your promotion because I knew that a couple years from then, I would scarcely see another player mounted upon this beloved steed. Oh what good times I had, riding it into battle knowing I looked, by far, the most awesome. And when I had mount-offs with my comrades, Tyreal’s Charger was a staple in my collection.
I noticed the mount has been posted on the shop, and I am outraged! How dare you harm my social status by making this beautiful mount available to all players? This is a day I shall rue bitterly, I fear. I demand you remove it from the shop at once!

Aka played and logged in because I’m not dumb to pay 15$ a month and not play.
It’s not about the requirement as much as the unique novelty of the item and time (2011).

That is not true, discounting the other things it had (diablo 3 if someone didn’t have it already, and mists beta access), even if it was only a year subscription and a mount that would be obtainable later, there still would be plenty of people that get it.
6-12 month plans cost $12.99 vs standard monthly $14.99 subscription. So for anyone that has no doubt they will be playing over the 6-12 month period, as long as they can afford a larger charge once a year vs smaller amounts every month, there is no reason not to do it for that alone as its spending less money, mounts on top is just icing on the cake.
Literally nothing said in that annual pass deal for you having to login, to get the mount.
Ergo it was just payment transaction to cover a year of sub on your end. Nothing more.

I’m pretty on the fence about this. It’s hard for me to take a side, given that the mount was a promotional reward for engaging in the industry standards like pre-orders and big purchases of game time. On the other hand, they want to move forward with a general “no more limited time exclusivity.” Idk.
Well, if people really bought 12 months of WoW and never logged in just for that mount…then I’d be really upset if I were them to see it coming back, lol.
