… if you’re going to go back on your promises, Blizz, I’ll stop participating in your promotions.
I’m not against certain things coming back. I’m not against certain things being exclusive either. But the wording on this mount was pretty damn clear.
What this link used to say:
For people not bothering to read and/or understand what I’m saying:
Tovi:
If the store said that they’re playing a Christmas song for a limited time only (which all you guys love leaving out that part) and they said they will stop playing it on a certain date (the date is another part you guys love leaving out to fit your narrative), then they go on to say the song is exclusive to this time frame, then yeah it means they’re never playing it again.
I’m pretty much done talking with people that want to redefine what “limited time only” and “exclusive” mean, especially when it’s not even the main point I’m making, just part of it.
I signed up for the annual pass because I was told that was going to be the only way to get this mount. Matter of fact, back in 2017 when they accidentally let people buy it from the Taiwan shop and put it on their US account, they removed it from those people and pretty much said “sorry can’t have this unless you’re an original participant of the annual pass.”
I’m not upset that other people now have “meh excloosives”, I’m now wondering if there is a point to participating in their promotions ever again. Like I said over and over, I don’t buy larges chunks of subs. I only sub for a month at a time in case I want to take a break, which I have done for every expac. I only signed up because they said this would be the only way to get this mount. If they would have told us upfront that they were going to let us get it without doing the annual pass, I would have waited. Granted, I wouldn’t have expected to wait 11 years
My concern is will I see Blizzcon rewards on the shop/trading post? Will I see hulk murloc and the beetle on the shop/trading post? Before Tuesday I would have said “haha not a chance” but now I’m not so sure. I was going to buy the epic edition of Wrath during this sale but now I’m thinking “nah, I’ll just wait until that kite mount is a stand alone sale.” Is this what Blizzard wants? For people to go “keep your promotion, I don’t trust you anymore, procrastinators always win.” That feels very counterproductive, which is why I’m giving my feedback.

What was the wording, if I may ask?
“For a limited time only”

That doesn’t mean “never again” and limited time doesnt mean one singular time. Vague on purpose.

They literally were selling this on the Chinese server. The wording was broken literally a year or two ago.

Limited: having a limit; restricted; confined
2 without fullness or scope; narrow
3 (of governing powers, sovereignty, etc.) restricted or checked, by or as if by a constitution, laws, or an assembly
Nothing says they cant add it again and then remove it. It would still be limited time only at that point.

I buy trix cereal, says limited time only… it can mean anything…
Like they only sell it on this period of time and then it’ll be back again later at that same period.
Tthey even brought back the spectral tiger mount [not exactly] in added armor.
Maybe treat pixels and what companies say with a grain of salt and don’t fall into their FOMO tactics.
These companies are slimey that way so don’t take them on their word.

Limited time only means that the time it is available has a limit.

Can you point to me the law or regulation on sales regarding limited time offers? I’m willing to be proven wrong, but not when it’s an opinion.
Also, not legally binding, I’m pretty sure.
I seriously do not understand why you are upset. You literally said you were:
So what ARE you mad about? Mad just to be mad?
