Grats to everyone on their Tyrael's Charger. However

Well yeah, that’s the whole point. If you don’t mind waiting an indeterminate amount of time for the promotional item to be sold separately, because you really aren’t interested in the bundle, just the item, then you wait. But if you’re going to get use out of everything, why not just get the bundle?

Again, I’ve already explained it. What’s going to be the “nail in the coffin” when it comes to participating is if we see other promotional items being sold as stand alones.

After yesterday I wouldn’t be surprised if the beetle and hulk murloc is for sale at $25 each soon. Or on the trading post. If they do that, then why did I pay for year’s sub upfront? I never buy game time in chunks in case I want to take a break (which I do frequently.)

I can almost guarantee you that OP likely hasn’t used Tyrael’s Charger beyond its initial release much like everyone else. I can’t remember the last time I even spotted it in the wild. This is the very definition of a non-issue and OP is just trying to find reasons to be upset with Blizzard.

Which like, there are certainly a lot of things Blizzard has done to be upset over, but this isn’t really one of them.

Except when the Mage Tower was reintroduced to the game, it was littered with new rewards with the previous rewards still unattainable, so it’s not entirely the same thing. More people have asked for the Mage Tower to return anyways. You can’t fault Blizzard for listening to its playerbase. That’s not a bad characteristic to have, especially considering their more recent pedigree.

And this isn’t the same thing. Limited time is not the same thing as “going away forever!” and even if it was, Tyrael’s Charger was not the main draw of that promotion. It was the fact that, by committing to paying your subscription for an entire year, you would just get Diablo III, a $60 priced game, for free. Most people did not care about the mount, they just cared about the premium AAA title they were getting without any added cost. That’s why the title of the very webpage OP himself linked explicitly stated “Sign up for the World of Warcraft Annual Pass and get Diablo III free” and not “Sign up for the World of Warcraft Annual Pass and get Tyrael’s Charger free.”

Again, non-issue.

I hope so, I bought the annual bundle because I can do it now but there’s a lot of players that doesn’t have the money for the whole bundle but they want a single mount from it, similar to the TBC classic mount that was added to the store as a stand alone.

I paid it because I can save some $, that should be the benefit, Blizzard should profit from those models in the store and hopefully that money goes back to the game…for me that´s the problem, the money doesn’t alway goes back to the actual game. It’s just like any 6month sub mount that goes to the store later.

I missed the Tyrael charger because at that point of my life, I couldn’t afford an annual bundle.

The only thing I would be disappointed with if they do sale hulk murloc and the beetle on the store is I would have rather bought it that way instead of the year chunk in sub.

Up until yesterday, I honestly didn’t think this would be an option.

Never said it was you, but your trying to make my response about you is rather telling.

The people who should have a real beef with that whole “agree to commit to 12 months, yet not be charged for the 12 months” (because that’s how that was) that netted people Diablo III, that ridiculously awful mount are the ones who wanted the last perk of it - beta access.

Do people not remember the you know what storms on the forums when new beta waves went out, and people who had done the 12 month thing still didn’t get their beta access? The literature specifically said people would get beta access when it was made available. Not in waves. Not sometime.

WHEN BETA ACCESS WAS MADE AVAILABLE. It didn’t say available to YOU, it said AVAILABLE, and commitments or contracts like that with ambiguity always favor the people who didn’t put the ambiguity in there.

True, that’s a problem, they don’t communicate it properly. It should be on the annual bundle for people that can afford it and save some $ but also mentioned that it’ll be added later for players that want a specific item.

If I misunderstood your post then I apologize.

This is not an excuse, just a reason, but the majority of people in this thread are hellbent on attacking me instead of reading what I’m saying.

we both know that despite your crying and you stomping your feet that you will continue to buy into promotions and other such things

You know because I already said I would.

But good job figuring that out on your own. You put Sherlock to shame

I can tell thinking isn’t yours.

Imagine throwing a hissy fit over a store mount being put back on the store. There’s no prestige to be had from the charger.

Man, strawman my post any harder and I’d be farming it weekly in Karazhan. I’m annoyed that you can’t trust Blizzard at their word, a very valid concern and criticism. This has nothing to do with the mount I don’t give a damn about. However, I do very much care whether or not I can trust the marketing of a company and when promotions and “limited time only” events no longer have any truth to them, I am annoyed.

Not that people shouldn’t be annoyed by it but as a general rule the answer to this is always no, you should not trust the marketing of any company.

Marketing departments are, by their very nature, deceitful. Their entire job is to make the company as much money as possible, and they will say whatever they are legally allowed to get away with if they think it’ll make you buy their stuff.

You can’t even properly apply a fallacy, so I don’t blame you for improperly reading the fine print of a promotion.

It’s 100% about the mount being on the store, you can try hiding behind ‘principle’ all you want, we all know you’re mad because they’re letting people get a store mount you think is prestigious.

A bit off topic but any of y’all saw the limited time only cheddar pretzels they make available around christmas. Can’t find any this year and i’m addicted.

Well, think about it. I assume you bought the items because you wanted them. So you like the items and are happy you got them right? So what else matters? Does others having them make you not like the items anymore? If so, why? And more importantly really, why SHOULD it?

Which means: when an annual pass is purchased, the charger will be gifted for free, for a limited time. After that limited time, the charger will no longer be a free gift.

No where did it state this is the one and only time the charger will be available for free or purchase.

Limited time means: a specific duration of time. Not the only time.

I just bought mine. My life is complete. I was 11 when the first one came out so I couldn’t afford it. 🫣

Christmas music playing in every store is “limited” to the winter holiday season.

this does not mean it will not happen again next year.

Cool, so one of the few rare mounts I had is now going to be all over the place…

Well, if anything, they just convinced me pre-ordering D4 for the mounts is pointless.
