Grats to everyone on their Tyrael's Charger. However

You should always have given promotions the side eye.
They’re just cunning means whereby company’s seek to separate you from your dollarydoos.

A really good lawyer can find a loophole in any contract’s wording. I’m guessing that’s what happened here since it being a promotional item was their reason given before to not be able to sell it outright later.

Diablo 4 is going to be a trash pit. A combination of Diablo 2, Diablo 3 and Diablo IMMORTAL.

Agreed, but principles should matter. Blizzard should have honored their commitment of exclusivity whether explicitly stated or implied. It was a scam move at best, a move I would expect from a lesser company devoid of principles.

What prevents them from re-releasing limited edition collectibles just because there is demand? I do not know if I can trust them anymore.

I am with ya Tovi - I get ya.

I don’t like the act because it’s shady. I don’t care if everyone has one tomorrow.

Some people can’t detach the emotional aspect of “I want it” or “is this good or bad for me” from “I don’t think the company should be doing this”.

Edit - I wonder how many would feel the same way if you could get PvP titles, mounts, transmogs, AOTC achieves or mythic armor on the store. To me, this mount used to show you were a WoW fan back in the day - like the old PvP titles did. That’s gone now

I think this is a healthy time to reflect on the fact that this is a video game, and these are video game items.

Also, it’s a good point where someone who has lost control of their life, to regain it.

Blizzard is trying to show you that what you think are “olympic medals” for “outstanding accomplishments and achievement” are really just peoducts that are for sale to anyone with money.

People thought they were achieving some lifetime permanent recognition for their… ability to subscribe to a subscription. But apparently, that wasnt an achievement at all. You were just “there”.

You got it for free, for subscribing for a service. People have to pay for it. If anything, you should grt the old busted ugly version and the store should have an updated version that looks better. But we dont. So you should be happy with that.

But guess what. No one can ever take the experience away from you. You had over 10 years to enjoy being elitist with stuff that no one else can ever get again, even in the same manner that you got it.

Enjoy that. Because the rest of the payong subscribers would also like to enjoy things you got for doing the exact things they have been doing.

TL:DR: You arent special. Get over yourself. You got the mount exclusive for 10 years. Nobody cares. Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it.

Oh and you wont stop buying promo items. Blizzard knows it, you know it, we all know it. They’ve had you for over 10 years already.

If that is your definition of a “contract” and believe there is an attorney out there who will take this case, you are woefully delusional. Andy FYI, I was being sarcastic about the statute of limitations.

Such a weird semantics argument to get upset over. Do people actually think when they read something is a limited time offer that it will literally be gone forever if they don’t get it at that exact moment?

I didn’t read all 500+ replies but I’m fairly confident someone mentioned promotions like the McRib or sign up deals that say limited time only but return on a semi regular basis.

Thanks for actually reading and understanding what I was saying.

As if trust has anything to do with a LiMiTeD TiMe mount, but the fact that you trusted them to begin with is more hilarious than anything. Its a corporation, grow up. You aren’t special, and your little mount is on the block. Deal with it and move tf on.

Umm, how did they not honor the promotion? You paid the money and got the items. Seems honored to me.

There was two articles that said this mount was exclusive to the annual pass. One has been change so when I’ll get home I’ll have to post a picture that shows what is said so the second link makes sense.

Anyways, I participated in the annual pass to get the mount (and Diablo 3.) If going forward they’re just going to put promotional mounts on the Trading Post or shop then I’m not going to participate. It’s really just as simple as that.

Has nothing to do with “mEh eXcLuSiVeS”

Matter of fact, I’m not even saying I’m not not going to buy from them anymore. Like the kite mount from the epic version of Wrath. I was going to buy that during the sale but after yesterday I’m going to hold off and wait for the mount to make its rounds on the Trading Post or be sold as a stand alone on the store.

I don’t care either way personally, so you are being offensive for no reason. However, people are within their rights to make decisions on the basis of how honest they consider a company.

So go take your cynical approach elsewhere.

They have changed their alts so many times to “talk” to me that I didn’t even realize that’s who it was. I mean, until y’all were talking to the original.

JHC I didn’t think I was that interesting.

Even that’s weak ground to stand on, the annual pass was the “limited time offer”, the charger was part of the bundle.

It was at that time. And for quite a long time afterwards, but why does it bother you that after the promotion is long over, they are selling it separately?

I honestly don’t get it since you say you don’t care about the exclusivity aspect of it. Are you upset about signing up for a year of WoW? I don’t think that’s it either.

To draw a comparison, I pre-ordered WC3 reforged because I knew I was going to play it and i thought the meat wagon mount was cool. If they threw it in the shop tomorrow I would not care in the slightest because the promotion for it being included in the game pre-order is over. Who cares what they do with it after that? I got what I wanted out of the deal and I don’t feel slighted or cheated.
