Yea, random BG players (if they gear through that) won’t get that kinda gear until week 10. I know, we’re all supposed to hate Horde yada yada, but that’s a bit much. Like I said, we’ll see if it sticks through next week. A one time deal won’t be much but if it’s indeed weekly, is kinda bs.
For all of them? Well damn!
Ilvl wont matter but 400 ilvl double main traited azerite pieces, being faction one-sided is a potential big problem for randoms.
Yea cost of the entire guild to move.
Well yea, I’m still going to win my BGs without equipping that gear.
Pvp traits are reduced by 50% in pvp this season. Honestly I think this is more of a gearing being broken at end game kind of situation. As for this pve guild swapping back and forth for some easy 400s that’s not really any concern for a random bger I think.
But for people here who blamed Horde having the gear advantage on their losses?
yea you get only 50% effectiveness of 1 trait, but you get 2 main traits now. Also, that only counts towards traits that give X amount of stat or damage, not other effects like cooldown reductions.
I see, still seems like it will only really matter if you are pushing world/server first raiding. High end pvpers will get that ilvl fairly quickly from queing arenas and your casual random bger won’t see any difference to win rates.
Idk about ranked bgs though shrug.
Exactly. High end arenas, who actually put effort and have to win matches will get the same gear as Alliance who just turn WM on and do a quest to kill 25 players.
Why would it be a one time thing? Against Overwhelming Odds has been a weekly quest since 8.1 launched. There is also no reason to believe the gear reward will be reduced in ilvl. The Darkshore quest and world boss has also been raised to 400ilvl. Horde players will be getting plenty of 400ilvl gear soon enough.
No rewards of any substance should be offered for Warmode? If that were the case, no one would bother with it. The fact that Alliance players are STILL outnumbered in Warmode despite all these rewards should speak volumes…
Exactly. 4 months after the expansion launched. And when gear rewards were 370 anyway through the conquest system.
i really wonder if this gearing strategy is part of blizz’s plan to have the players feel part of the impact of the story war, horde starts out strong (via a mild gear advantage) and then with the new raid the war is turning and alliance is winning(via the same gear advantage). essentially creating a 4th wall effect for the players to match the story.
Yes, 4 months after Alliance gave up on Warmode.
“How is it “not your fault” when the horde as a whole made the conscientious decision to join 40 man groups, created under custom content tab to do this mode that was intended for 5 player content? Did blizzard force you all to choose to do it this way?”
This was just said in another thread. I really hope this isn’t how people actually feel about warmode, if so, yea explains a lot.
This game is dying. On my server as horde we cant do a world quest without a 40 man raid killing us I have 30 min bg q’s and now alliance gets free gear. Pretty sure I am out of here Activision is not ever getting my money again.
No they wouldnt. Not with the alliance bonus no?
I actually just saw this guy in game and he was keyboard turning and backpeddling. I don’t think he’d be able to turn around in time. He probably doesn’t know that strafing keeps you in front of attacks.
I think the greater issue is /heavy/ item inflation (again). At this rate, they might get through another expansion, maybe two, before another crunch… This has also been a trend, in general, for some time.
“New patch? Congrats. You can get almost normal/heroic raid gear equivalent items through easier methods!”
The solution would be to stop none raiding/rated arena methods of gearing. If templates were around in PvP, it wouldn’t be as big of an issue either.
Yeah it should have been a 375 conquest piece or something. 400 is pretty bonkers. Even with a “pve advantage”, most guilds will take a little while before they can clear heroic raid.
