Quite frankly, I don’t believe that it happens.
I have never once seen a GY in the open world being camped. Not in decade I’ve played this game.
Those people do have an option though. Rez sickness at a different GY.
I’ve seen FP’s get camped, but that was easy to get away from. It’s still not justification for 400 ilvl gear at this point. The 370 gear for the quest didn’t come until the patch in December. That’s far more reasonable since at that point, most people were geared and we were into the 370 gear for capping CP each week.
and yet numerous alliance back then and even nowadays people are complaining about this exact thing happening in warmode.
so your options are
- continue to get camped
- be useless for 10 minutes and then what? repeat the process and hope for better luck on another shard?
- turn off warmode.
if it happens enough you get frustrated and turn that crap off.
You’re actually the first person I’ve seen complain about being GY camped outside of battlegrounds. So uh, still don’t really believe that.
I’ve seen people complain about being corpse camped, but never GY.

Does this even matter? wow so a few alliance who actually do the quest will have a single 400 ilvl piece, man thats just gonna cause you to lose every bg I bet rofl.

Well according to some alliance here, horde had the upper hand for getting warfronts first so using that logic we should win a ton of Bgs this season. No excuses.

Yeah I don’t get the uproar. I’ve had warmode on since the beginning and I’ve been ganked many times by much larger groups of horde. Only once have I turned it off and it was to finish a wq before it expired and horde had the quest hub on lockdown. If Blizzard is offering me 400 gear for hanging in there, I’ll take it. It’s not like alliance are suddenly going to take over randoms with these weekly gear drops. Seems blown out of proportion.

It’s gear that is on par with heroic raiders, just for turning WM on. And yes, to the “gear matters” folk, the ones who complained about 340 gear on alts for 2 days, it should matter. I’m taking no part in it.
That’s your choice but that doesn’t mean alliance should feel guilty or bad for the opportunity. I doubt those horde camping quests zones and fps felt any guilt for making my 10% bonus take 3x (or more) as long to benefit from.
Either faction should. If it were on par with randoms or LFR, that’d be one thing. This is gear that will take players who cap CP through BGs 10 weeks to get. If it’s a one time thing, I’ll redact my opinion. Adding rewards of any substance was a mistake for warmode. Should have just been cosmetics/mounts/pets/etc…
Apparently limit guild thinks so. They just transferred to alliance to get 2 400 pieces before mythic raiding comes out. Gives them a serious leg up for gear check.
And from what I hear, they plan on transferring back as well. Score for Blizz on that faction transfer cash.

idk who limit is, are they top end raiders? I can understand top end raiders or pvpers going for that but my response was mostly to random bg players. You don’t tend to find the top ends of pve and pvp chilling all day in random bgs.
No ones blaming the players. (Or should be). But we can be critical of the design, because for most people who look at it objectively, it’s bad design.
