Got called a slur then kicked

Why would pulling mobs faster slow things down? I think you want to disagree and make a point about how bad DPS pulling is… but that wasn’t realistic.

That only applies to bosses. Trash mobs won’t block people from coming in.

I think the answer is obvious that they don’t condone it, and they expect people to actually report individuals for violating that code of conduct. This whole premise could have been answered with common sense.

If you want to tank mobs…. Roll a tank. Tanking and healing are both such thankless jobs in general you don’t need dunderhead dps intentionally making things worse. I agree.

Blizz stuck GMs in MG GS a while back after receiving numerous reports about the reputation of the place. They lasted 2 weeks before giving up. :dracthyr_tea:

Kick justified, it’s a team effort not a me effort.

As for the other all you can do is report and move on with your day.

Blizzard can dig up the records and if they found you saying things that break the social contract as well you get punished too.

Next time just report, and don’t say anything and be a better team player if you don’t want to get booted next time.

You certainly deserved to be kicked for pulling mobs like you were the tank.

The mean words you were called are not allowed, but you certainly deserved to be kicked. DPS players like you suck.

I think people prefer it a certain way because deviating from it tends to increase the difficulty of the content for others in the group. Like healing dps that keeps pulling is not very nice usually. Sometimes it can be fine Lol but other times it’s bad. I was healing a group of rowdy dracthyr in a tw dungeon and the dps keep dying and yelling for res because they fly ahead.

It’s funny sure (if you’re drunk I guess) but also sort of dumb.

The tank was literally pulling a third of the dungeon at a time as well.

It wasn’t slow !

So dps die in narnia, tank has a million enemies on them. Dps just sit there and call for res. Cool!

Such a rare thing in tw because usually ppl play their roles and it’s easier.

If the tank dies people generally scramble and adapt until they either finish the fight or also die.

But having some guy in the party that announces he is going to unnecessarily make you scramble and adapt as much as possible before you even load into the dungeon isn’t exactly the same. It’s also not good.

The words were unnecessary but the kick was fine. I’d have probably seen my way out at that point anyhow. I don’t think I’d be very interested in playing with either half of that breakup.

No reason to hate people for existing.

recording a session does nothing. blizzard has chat logs and do not accept any evidence of anything collected by something other than the game client.

No reason to get upset about it either.

Kick was justified. Idiots using slurs were idiots. Move on.

I’m not upset the people spamming the report button are lmao. Just calling out bigots for being bigots.

If you’re upset about that I got bad news for you.

You are not a tank you are not supposed to pull things. The tank queued as a tank to fulfill the role of a tank. He gets to pull not you.

It’s part of the experience.

The kick was justified. Although, frankly, it doesn’t matter if it was “justified” or not, because according to Blizzard’s rules, it’s a majority vote and does not require a reason, much less a “valid” one. That said, if I’m tanking or healing a dungeon and a DPS decides to run off on their own or “pull” for the tank, yeah I’m vote kicking too. (Of course there’s an exception if it’s a rogue tricks pulling, or a hunter misdirect pulling as part of a strategy that the tank is ok with for difficult pulls - but stuff like that rarely happens in pugs anyway.)

That said, no matter how bad or rude you were, their language is still not allowed and will be actioned if reported. The only thing that will come of this though is the person that used the inappropriate language being actioned for that. Noone is being actioned for kicking.

Another wholesome community thread.

Pretty sure I saw Santa sprinting the other way, dragging all the reindeer.

Pulled this over here so I can address it.

You have two ENTIRELY different things going on.

Do we sanction anyone for kicking people from a group - for any reason? No, no we do not. They may not like the color of your transmog, doesn’t matter. That isn’t against the rules.

Now, speech.

Someone breaks our code of conduct, right click report their language.

What you do NOT want to do is reply - and break it yourself. If you did - and THEY report YOU, yes you can be sanctioned.

Because the DPS who pull faster are not capable of killing faster. It slows down progress and can cause wipes.

Kill faster and the tank can pull more. That’s the reality.
