As the title suggests i was called a slur for gay people for pulling trash mobs that i knew i could solo while everyone was loading into the TimeWalking instance. I called them out for their hate speech then they proceeded to claim that they were going to report me and that blizzard wouldnt do anything to them right before kicking me and me getting stuck with a 30 min timer before i could Q again. My question is, is this something the company allows? Is casual hate speech and griefing allowed because someone pulled a pack of mobs? furthermore i had to change the title and the words in this post because the word isnt allowed here.

Question is, did you record the session so you can prove your point? They are not allowed to use ethnic slurs but it’s good to have proof or to have witnesses to help prove your case.

Next time take a screen shot of the offense (in this case words) then submit a player report with the picture attached.

Then they have the report. If they take a look, those player will be getting a forced break off WOW for using foul language.

Reporting offensive language is fine. The kick was legit though. The chat is logged and will be reviewed.

Yes, it’s a temp ignore. It goes away after you log out.
Blizzard doesn’t take screenshots for such things. They use their own data for reports.

Ok you did what you could do. Last summer Red Sox all-star center fielder Jarren Duran used that slur and got suspended for a few games. Then it was time to move on.

Anything typed in chat is logged by the game, taking screenshots of it helps too. Now do understand if you said anything you’re not telling us (which many people tend to do), GMs can bring up the chat logs too to see what both parties said.

thats the thing, they werent even fully loaded in and it was just the trash mobs so i cleared them while waiting, got called what i mentioned and my responses were oh nice hate speech, something about them raging (raging being the most agressive term i used after what they said) somewhere in there one of them claimed they would reverse report me (not fully sure i know what that means) and i also passive aggressively sent “:)” i kinda wish i screen shot it to show all of you here but if what everyone is claiming is true then im sure if/when the GMs review it theyll see the same. mind you i dont deny that i pulled the mobs but between me doing that and them calling me the slur multiple times i hadnt said anything to them

I thought the vote kick was disabled at the start of dungeons? How did they kick you right after loading in?
I don’t feel that they kick was warranted based off your story. If you was able to kill a few mobs while waiting on the people I say go for it. Now if you was getting them killed and you was pulling agro that’s a different story.

Don’t respond, report, be glad you’re not playing with them anymore. Firing back means you could end up getting punished, even if they say actionable things too. I would be surprised if Blizzard would let that slide if it were reported though. Someone says that to me I have nothing further to say to them

Blizzard supposedly gets a record of everything anyone says in chat so all he needs to do is report them and wash their hands of them, maybe add them to ignore so he never has to deal with them again
