I have a bad sense of direction in game, I just hope they don’t remove the add ons that help me find my way to quests, treasures, rares, and such.
I use BtWQuests add on, very helpful.

Maybe if they change it to another mythical creature? A gryphon, maybe.
Because if you think about it, using a silver dragon to indicate “COME KILL THIS COOL THING!” on the Dragon Isles is… rather tacky.

It seem the new team is hellbent on changing these “minor” rpg details for no good reason. The only thing they made is a really ugly mobile game ui, and it really pisses me off that they have 0 respect for the game that better delevopers made before them.

Not sure why they want to change something that’s been in the game so long.
The little icon they use now kinda looks weird too. It looks like an afterthought.
To see if it was clashing visually or not, I edited the frame and to me the silver looks fine.

I wish they would keep it. I get that the star doesn’t necessarily match the silver frame but it’s been around so long, why change it now to something very different?

Make a silver whelp border for non-elite rares, and keep the silver dragon for elite rares. Then, if you’ve already killed them and they don’t give loot (for the day or whatever), the non-elites will just look like normal monsters and the rare elites will just have the gold dragon border.
There. The uniqueness of the silver dragon portrait of easily recognizing rares is retained, while also showing players the difference between elite rares and non elite rares at a quick glance.
