GMs wont answer tickets, close tickets instead

They’re closing your ticket because either it’s A) A ticket with a question or statement they can’t answer. B) You’re not being clear with your issue or the issue is a bug which they can’t fix. Because they’re not devs. C)They have given you an answer you just don’t like that answer and keep reopening tickets.

I’ve never had a problem with tickets not being answered.

Either you’ve never submitted many tickets (or any at all), had a super duper easy thing to fix such as getting stuck or you’re not being honest with us.

The ticket system is absolute garbage.

I’ve opened maybe 3 tickets in the last year or so. All for minor bugs. None if them have been answered or resolved. I feel like I’m writing into nothing.

I mean, not a huge deal, all the bugs were tiny and not game stopping or anything, but still. Nothing at all. I don’t even know if the tickets I opened are even out there anymore or not.

Well, tickets are not the way to report bugs so yes, you were wasting your time. GMs don’t take bug reports and are not allowed to fix bugs unless the Devs give them specific permission on a known issue. Those are not common. Most bugs get fixed for everyone via a patch.

The way to report bugs for WoW is to use the in-game bug report tool or to post on the Bug Report forum. That goes to the QA team who log them, investigate them, verify them, and pass them to the Dev team. Dev team will prioritize them and come up with a plan to resolve them. Low priority bugs may not get dealt with for a very long time.

QA does not usually reply - bug reporting is a one way interaction.

You may not prefer it that way, but that is how Blizzard handles it. Hopefully that at least helps you with expectations.

Oh celebrate. I wish Blizzard would hire you to answer all the tickets.

This company is in desperate need of a lawsuit.

Maybe his/her definition of “bug” differs. You may be thinking of long-term glitches rather than random small hiccups like getting stuck of something missing from your inventory.

I was just going by what the poster said. They used the word “bug” so I addressed it that way. :woman_shrugging:

If something is actually a Bug then again, GMs are not allowed to intervene unless the Devs tell them they can. Having the GMs create items, manually skip quest lines, etc can cause much bigger issues down the line so they don’t want them just doing so randomly.

I had a feeling you were but had to clarify since not all of speak the same dialect. To some people, dinner is lunch. To me, dinner is what I eat in the evening lol

I’m sure they don’t randomly. The maybe 1 time I’ve had a helpful GM since we went to the craptastic ticket system was because I had something missing.

Either way, the ticket system is a joke. It was a shady way to cut corners by hiring entry-level, minimum wage employees to copy/paste answers all day and mark tickets “resolved” without actually resolving them. I actually got into it with a blue about it once. He said “we mark resolved because we consider the issue closed.” I told him “then mark the ticket “Closed”. Marking it resolved says that you’ve fixed whatever their issue was.”

I agree with you here. The wording on some of their responses, including the “resolved” tag, could use work.

My biggest gripe is that they don’t make it clear to people that they put in a ticket for something the GMs are not allowed to help with. It makes people think they got crap service - which they kind of did - but not because the GM was being a jerk. The GM was literally not allowed to do what the player asked.

EXAMPLE: Is it so hard to say “I am sorry [player] but what you asked for is an explanation of X system which is considered a game hint. We are not permitted to give game hints. Here is a list of places where you can go to get that information instead.”

At least that helps the player set more realistic expectations for the future as to what services GMs are allowed to do.

Absolutely agree. Even with the copy/pasted answers, they could at least make a template for that

So the answer is to just become even more unprofessional like the parent company (yeah Activation is the parent company not a partner). Its a lose/lose no matter what. Everything is to far gone to come back from without some serious intervention from new owners/investors. One can only hope.

Agreed. Activision are no better. They ruined Destiny 2. Game is a lot better since Bungie took it back.

That’s what I did, I used the in game tool each time. Still haven’t seen any resolutions. One is from a looooong time ago. This toon I’m posting on is ALWAYS at rested xp. No matter how long I spend out of rested areas, it never changes. Been that way since before BfA.

I’m not curious. I want to be a mentor so I need to complete the quest so I’m trying to calculate how many quests I need to do.

It’s not a display error because it stays the same regardless of where I zone.

have you checked it immediately after completing a quest?

this is what the armory shows when i look at your progression towards 3k

I don’t think this is a big deal, I see it all over the place. Automation software looks at your ticket, puts in some predefined self-help methods, and closes it with the advice to reply if you still have a problem. If those self-help methods fix your issue, that’s one less issue that people who actually solve problems have to deal with, so they can focus on solving actual problems. If the self-help methods don’t fix your issue, you reply and say so.

What happened then?

Uhm, Activision in every state is garbage blizzard was the one who made wow huge, when activision took over the game died, so please get your facts straight, Hearthstone Dying Overwatch Dying, Call of duty NOTHING but cheaters, WoW lost 10 million subs. What game of theirs is soo good please tell me?

how are you determining that it’s “at rested XP”, when it’s at level cap, and doesn’t have an XP bar?
