GMs wont answer tickets, close tickets instead

What did your submitted ticket say? Even though we would never see our tickets this way, the sheer number of bug reports and what are judged more serious tickets may have pushed yours too far down the list. Everything with the prepatch may be making Blizzard respond to tickets based on severity rather than the order they came in. Yours may have had an indefinite wait time so they redirected you to some possible self-help rather than keep you hanging.

It’s a method of filtering, I worked IT support during college and it works wonders; roughly 30% of the tickets remained closed because someone got access to some self-service tool and it allowed us to provide higher quality call-service without feeling pressured / rushed.

These “GMs” likely handle around 50-60 tickets a day; your complaint as a consumer is valid though, they should update the copy to indicate if the ticket is re-opened it gets expedited.

It was like that for nearly a year while I was still leveling up. Don’t remember when I first noticed it… like, level 50 or 60. Then I stopped ever exiting in rested areas to see if it would ever go away and it never did. Put in a bug report and never heard anything. Maybe 6 months after that I hit 120 (I was just casually roaming in low level areas for a long time so I was gaining very little xp)

I suppose it’s possible they fixed it at some point since I’ve been max level, but I’m not gonna hold my breath. Besides, I’ve still got a couple other outstanding bug reports that aren’t fixed either.

That’s pretty much what they did though. They just gave you links that might have helped with the problem. Then said if that didn’t help, just reopen the ticket and they will get to you as soon as they can.

Yup. Every time I open a ticket I get automated responses that, so far, never addresses anything that I actually submit.

After the second ticket I get an actual response and every time It’s literally “Sorry, we can’t do anything” even if it was something they easily used to fix in the past…

Honestly kind of messed up at how crappy Blizzard has become…

I got what appeared to be an automated response also, but I think they’re just way too busy right now.

It’s probably the thousand of customer service jobs they fired people from. They’ve already 100% acknowledged to me in a ticket they can’t help at all in classic with literally any issue you have, even if it’s a small loot issue.

if you’re taking that long to level, your “rested” won’t get used up.

yep, policies are much tighter with classic.
a GM isn’t going to risk their job because you feel like you deserve special treatment.

After I do a quest it just continues from 1740 so now for example it says 1846.

I know its not ground breaking or anything but I am excited about being able to help newbies with the new chat. I’m so bored these days and its one of the few things that makes me interested in playing during pre-patch.

Hate to break the bad news but Activision took over years ago, the only thing keeping blizzard even remotely decent up until WoD shipped was the few blizzard OG’s that remained, and now that they are all basically gone Activision has effectively taken full control.

What I am saying is it will only get worse, not better.

Blizzard went to an automatic ticket system years ago. You just need to re-open it in order to get it to go up a tier.

these achievements are notorious for not displaying correctly, and if your character was around pre-cata, the display tends to be even more wonky due to quests having been removed.

you can work from the number shown in your statistics tab
you can work from the number shown in the achievement tracker
…or you can work from the number being shown in the armory.

personally, i’d work from the number being shown in the armory, because it sounds like it’s the highest number, and leaves the least amount of quests to chip away at.

if you hit 3k on the armory and the achievement isn’t awarded, then it would be time for a ticket explaining that the numbers which are being tracked are showing different tallies by the various tracking methods.

You’ve clearly never tried to figure out what you said that got you silenced on the forums/in-game.

EVERYONE posts about how they refuse to tell you. Which is funny cause people can’t learn if they don’t know what they did wrong.

I’m guessing most know exactly why they were silenced. The rules for using public chat and these forums are quite clear.

Except you can get forum silenced for a forum post from months ago.

Unless they cancel the flags, you never know what post got reported. I had a post from 3 months ago flagged and hidden, and I would have never known what post it was if they hadn’t overruled the flagging. (It wasn’t even a troll/rude/etc. post. It was just a regular post someone didn’t agree with my opinion on)

And as for in-game, no, it’s not that easy. Because they don’t moderate some channels (Guild, Custom Channels, etc.) but if someone opens a ticket after the report language, it’s entirely possible to get actioned for it, even though they normally don’t action those channels.

they will action chat in any in game setting.

just because you’re in guild chat or a custom channel, doesn’t mean you can say what you want… it just means you’re less likely to get reported.

I can’t post screenshots. It shows the same for me in the armory as well. It’s not the only achievement that is bonkers though just the only one I’m concerned about.

My character is from vanilla. She is old which means I have gotten old. :scream:

Nope but I am not surprised.

Not everyone. Actually you are the first person I have heard say they refused to tell you.

In case anyone was wondering, I did get an updated response.

“We do not have a way to track or investigate this achievement so a bug report is the only method for investigation.”
