GMs are Useless

Generally speaking GMs do not assist with loot anymore. They have not in a long time. Instead the Devs put systems in the game to prevent loot people earned from being lost. In Retail at least it gets mailed to you.

There CAN be bugs of course, but GMs don’t have much role in those. They can’t even say if there is one, unless the Devs and QA confirm one and communicate it. They don’t let GMs fix bugs or magically make items. GMs can only give you something if the logs verify it and the Devs allow it for whatever issue it is.

This makes me wonder if you have the item in your bag, but just can’t see it. That is the only case where a UI reset would make sense. There can also be display bugs where gear appears to vanish, including what you are wearing. The items are THERE, you just can’t see them.

Hopefully a Blue can double check for you and tell you what steps might be best to take next.

Just to add to this, I have had situations where something was in my bag that disappeared and reappeared a few days later after a reset and I’ve seen people say the same thing.

My understanding is it’s a visual bug and often sorts its self out. Of course, if you are waiting on loot, that can make you understandably frustrated. Hope it works out for you.

You are positive you won them too right?

Hitting need and rolling the highest and the game giving you a checkmark does not mean you won unless all rolls were already rolled. If you hit need and are the current highest roll it will act as if you won but someone who has not rolled could still roll and beat yours.
As another pointed out aswell, I’ve had an issue before with an item in my bag not being there even though it was, Just couldn’t see it and had to reset my UI. Also had an issue with postmaster not delivering somthing until a day later.

Also, how sure are you that you physically looted the corpse? You don’t need to loot in order to roll.

There was an instance last week where in a DF raid (so not legacy yet) my character won the roll from a bow. Unfortunately I forgot to loot the corpse so it never showed up. I had to go back to the instance (someone was still inside) to loot the corpse to get the item. It’s possible it works that way for LFR too.

To add to this, when you roll and if your roll is currently the highest, it will do the flashy animation and show that it’s green. That doesn’t mean it will stay the highest.

There’s a few moments I thought I won something, but I instead got outrolled.

Length of time also seems to vary, swear I’ve had stuff just pop up a day or two later and I’m just left wondering where it came from.

I would recommend at least giving the UI reset a shot, though. As mentioned a CSR may be able to dig a bit for you once they’re up and about.

100%. These were Paladin/Priest/Shaman tier tokens, I won them on my Priest. The only remaining roll was a mage.

Well, even in the ideal case, you would only have gotten 1 of them, as
Winning the first would remove your need roll from the 2nd (how all duplicates are handled).

That’s not the same as resetting the UI. Give that a try, it’s the baseline for determining if it is indeed just a visual bug.

Do you understand how fault finding works? A complete UI reset is nearly always the very first step and has resolved many issues. If it doesn’t resolve yours, you report that back and they’ll look at the next step and so on.

Really no need to be snarky towards GM’s (and fellow players who have commented). We’re all just trying to help.

I had the same thing happen on one of my shamans, but with a DK the only remaining roll. That poor shaman is having such a tough time winning LFR drops. :frowning:

^This…and generally they let you know that things are being looked into pretty soon. I just figured they often wait to see if multiple complaints for an issue come in to see if it’s a bug, or if someone just glitched.

That makes zero sense. Given the fact folks say everything is AI, one would think tickets would be done within mintes, not days. Folks would want to be answer FASTER, not SLOWER.

Because they don’t actually use AI, and belligerent players use that excuse as a coping mechanism for them not getting their way.

GMs are only able to perform tasks that they have the authority to perform. They are quite useful in helping with situations that they are actually supposed to.

If you are asking the GM to help with something that they aren’t supposed to be helping with then they will seem quite useless.

I’m this case they offered a starting point for you and I suspect it is a good starting point.

Here is a link for you that may help you and after ensuring that you have done a UI reset and all the following is applicable from the link I would suggest that you report it as a bug. As the article also suggests.

Already did, but that does nothing for me individually. It might maybe (if it doesn’t get ignored) maybe prevent this problem in the future for someone else maybe.

I don’t use any bag addons, including bagnon. I actually like the stock bags…
