Is there a gm callback number anywhere I’m going on around 2 months of getting a run around of my character restore being broken and the website won’t allow me to upload a screenshot I don’t get a error code widows says the game is not responding when I click the button to try any restore a character I just want to be able to restore characters like everyone else but I’m at my wits end I have done everything under the sun the gms in tickets say to and it still is broken.

No, the phone line gone the way to the call back system due to misuse. And have you use the website to attach files rather then ingame?

the attach files is just broken on tickets I have tried google chrome firefox and my android phone its a 1.55mb png it just refuses to work. As for the problem I click the button game freezes windows says world of warcraft in not responding and it force closes the game
try using the website instead of the in game window

I don’t believe there is a call-back system any longer. Maybe there is, but if so it’s likely reserved for extreme cases.
A question of you however relating to this error code. Prior to this error starting, did you attempt to rename your character and get the gear icon by your character or was there a pop up on the glue-screen (character screen) that causes a freeze followed by your system saying WoW is not responding? I ask only to rule out any similarity with a bug that’s been plaguing me.
If you can tell me a basic chain of events on what happens when you load up (please number your steps as if you were writing a small reproduction report for someone), I’ll do what I can to help you with this, alright? First step though, deep breath. It won’t help getting flustered. Trust it from an old expert at that particular art-form.

- I click Restore Deleted Character
- The arrows spin for 1 second or less it DOES NOT go to the deleted character screen
- Whole game freezes
- A window pops up saying world of warcraft is not responding then my options is to close program or wait for it to respond

Alright. At least I know now this is not similar to the issue I was thinking of. Have you tried using Battle.net’s tool to do a repair to the game-client yet? It is possible there is an error in the game file that is causing this. To get there, lets click on the little gear icon by the Play button on the Battle.net Launcher. Click on “Scan and Repair” and let the process play out.
After it does try again and let me know what you find? If the issue still occurs etc.

Hrm. It might be something then going on with the character restore feature. I can’t test it right now myself, but I will in 12 hours when I can restore characters again. For the time being would you do a favor for all of us and write up a synopsis in the Bug Report forums? That’ll help get the right eyes on it so that if this issue continues, at the very least it can be tested and maybe resolved as soon as possible.
I know it’s not a fix Karra, I know it’s frustrating, and I’m sorry your dealing with it; but it’s the best I can offer currently.

I wrote a bug report about a month or 2 ago when it first happened.
Perhaps you already said this already, and if it’s me just missing it entirely, I do apologize. Are you creating a wholly new ticket doing this? Or are you replying to an on-going ticket with the attempted file?
Oh this has been ongoing for a while then? Hrm… I’m guessing that your trying to restore a lost character then, but are unable to because the freeze happens when you click on the restore character button. That a rough approximation of your issue?
If it is, my advice would be to open a ticket and ask a GM if they might restore the character for you. Yes that’s outside the normal prevue, but certain situations sometimes call for little stronger response. Just be sure to explain to them in the ticket what your dealing with, with regard to the character undelete tool; and perhaps they can assist you. Wait time shouldn’t be too bad for a situation like this. I’ve actually been very impressed with the speed of the replies.
Anyways, keep me posted and I’ll think on other things that might be causing this. I trust any addons you have for use in the game are disabled? If they are, you might temporarily move them out of the WoW folder completely to see if there’s something causing a issue on that front.
Idk how much I can say about tickets but my current ticket is being pushed to a specialized area

Alright. This likely means (and Vrak or Orlyia please correct me if the info is inaccurate), a specialist is going to look at it and investigate it a bit. I don’t know precisely what the specifics in your ticket are, but my advice would be that if you were told they would reply via Email; be patient as they will.

From what I can see, Karra, we have escalated the case for this to be looked into.
It seems one of the main issues causing this might because you have SOOOOO many deleted characters, all above level 50. That is likely what is causing the system to stall.
I don’t know what can be done, but it is being looked into. We’ll need to wait to see what happens as a result of the escalation. A Game Master will contact you when they hear back.
