Yup. This all started with the first developer pretending to have found a new addon by necroing multiple year old threads. Eventually admitting he was a developer and didnt understand why transparency mattered. After more discussion it was clear there was even more issues with transparency with the process.

Honestly, the putting the addon aside. The sheer lack of transparency and games they are playing on the forums with the necros, multiple thread spamming, and alts is disgusting. How can we anyone trust an addon made by such people even if it was a good addon?
It’s happened before, it’ll happen again. Don’t try to kid your way out of it. It’s too obvious.

I get that he/they feel attacked and I also fully get it can be frustrating with dealing with end users who aren’t technically competent (even at a basic level sometimes) and trying to explain things is an exercise in frustration.
Still though, what they need to get is they need us to make their addon work. A paltry 300 people making reports is not going to generate the necessary feedback to bring actual toxic people to task. At best, it’ll be a list of a very small handful of people just because so few actually either know about or use it.
So whether they like it or not, they need to suck it up and take the higher road here and engage in the people and just ignore the ones who are dead set against it anyway and consider every poked hole or challenging scenario a gift because it’ll be one less hole to patch later or issue that can be debated and decisions made that should, at least in theory, justify things.
