So a few days ago, discussion started about this new addon called Global Warn Solution. This addon was created so people can leave notes on other players for a number of reasons. While this addon is not perfect, and I’m sure it could undergo some changes, I’ve noticed many users in the comments spreading false rumors about it. Some of the rumors I’ve seen include falsified reports going through, and many users have claimed that they are now on this addon’s “list”.
Well sorry to break the news to you all but it got updated yesterday and surprise surprise, no one who claimed to be on the list is actually on the list!! Crazy! This is honestly just another instance of the wow community trying to bring each other down and be toxic, rather than cooperating and providing suggestions to the dev(s) to make the addon better. Furthermore, anyone who actually defends/likes the addon immediately gets vilified or is assumed to be the dev, or somehow knows the dev. It’s honestly just sad. As someone said, this addon only has less than 300 downloads. Stop acting like this is a cancer spreading in the community, and stop spending days on that thread complaining and attacking everyone. If you don’t like it, just move on. It’s really that simple. It’s so sad to see people just sit on that thread constantly complaining, spreading false info about the addon, and using mob mentality to attack anyone who likes the addon. Just move on with your day if you don’t have anything to add to the discussion lol.
Btw, I hope everyone realizes that the more you keep contributing to that thread, the more downloads it keeps getting. It was roughly at ~200 when the thread went live a few days ago, and now it’s close to 300. So pat yourself on the back cause you really think you’re doing something, but you’re really just contributing to it’s spread.

Yeah for sure. Most of the people complaining here seem to be toxic themselves and are worried about ending up on the list. It’s hilarious when they come up with flawed/false point after point.
Not advertising, simply pointing about that your “trust me bro” sources were wrong. Stop spreading false info about the addon. Don’t like it? Move on with your day lol. You’ve been on that thread for like 2-3 days now, it’s honestly sad. Just move on, don’t download it if you don’t like it. It’s a small addon and the chances that you’ll interact with someone with the addon is low lmfao
Yeah that one bugged me. As far as the add-on. That thing is just toxic abuse waiting to happen. Sure the idea is ok, but when you add people to the mix it brings out the worst of humanity. I mean just look at what happened to social media.

We had this sort of blacklist very recently I believe last year with ppl censoring SA communities . Blizzard didn’t like it and broke it . Like every other Blacklist addon ever you guys are pretty much on a one way trip anyways . When ppl who matter don’t like it, you will be made to move on

Two days ago, someone added four people from the same guild onto that list, claiming the entire guild was toxic. Probably because the person reporting sucked in a M+, got called out and decided to slander an entire guild.
Nope. Absolutely nothing could possibly go wrong with this add-on.

Not saying anything could go wrong, I’m saying we should actually have a discussion about how we, as a community, could create a better version of these types of addons. You’re doing absolutely nothing by sitting on the same thread for a few days adding nothing to the discussion, and as a group just shooting down anyone who has a somewhat decent idea lmao

it’s just the same thing that always gets shot down, nothing to really worry about
deleting it totally and starting from scratch, a version that does not interact with any single other person, is THE start.
What proof?
A better version would have to be one created by Blizz and policed by them for accuracy. I don’t think they’re going to want to put in the time and effort.
