Give void elves/dwarves the ability to customize their racials

The high elves have been part of our Alliance lore longer and more deeper than even of the allied races. Hell, the were present and helping the Alliance in Wrath, Cata and Mist.

Another reason why Alliance High Elves weren’t playable, since most went as Blood Elves. As for void elves, it was said they were a small group of people, but that was from Ion and look how what he says goes. As for real amount of void elves that were made during their making, it’s not possible to say put over 1000 NPCs on screen in the game to prove a point to their numbers.

That same argument goes for high elves, the high elves can be found in Dalaran, Stormwind to as far flung as the Hinterlands. And again numbers dont matter, the panderens are one school and yet they field armies all the time.

Sure they were, but go read up on their story, bruh. They may have been Alliance back during WC2, but most went Horde with the story and have actually time wise been Horde longer now.

Your tiny amount that stayed neutral and helped here and there isn’t enough.

You’re living in the game time of when the majority were Alliance sided and that doesn’t work for you. You don’t want to accept anything past WC2 story because that’s where Alliance High elves went bye bye.

The “tiny amount” never were neutral, they were Alliance though and though.

I think you are one the ignoring lore here. If we are ok with lore stating a school of pandarens can be their own faction(two infact) then the same could be said of the high elves.

OMG, stupid starving child! you had a meal for once and you are still hungry!?

Hint: that was sarcasm.

Obviously people are happy about the void elf changes. Being satisfied dosen’t mean people can’t have ideas and more desires. Why are you acting so bitter?

I thought this was a thread to advocate for Void Dwarves…

er… High elves made up about 30-40% of the alliance units in WC3… so they definitly didn’t end at warcraft 2. And then they were still present members of the alliance in vanilla warcraft, show up every expansion, we have high elf towns, high elf npcs in stormwind, high elf members of SI:7, prominant high elf NPCs as out faction leaders… They definitly didn’t go bye bye…

They did go bye bye. MOST of them renamed to Blood Elf.

Oh, but they have NPCs here and there, ThEy R ALiAnCe aNd We WnAt thEM.

Give us the skins tones, give us Silvermoon, give us Paladin class. Give give give.

Just give both sides Helfs. Problem solved.

Totally not unlike the horde asking for goblins, vulpera or nightborne, oh wait, its not like that because the horde got the highly requested races in a heart beat, we had to fight for high elves for 15 years.

Also, Hey, I’m a elf on the alliance, I exist, so do the rest of the void elves, and we have high elves joining us to give us those fleshy skin tones. Yey!

The more “Alleria” style void elves are definitely a nice touch.

While I don’t see Blizzard actually giving us this kind of flexibility, I would not be opposed to allowing for cosmetic alterations for racials when it comes to sub-sects of existing races.

The following ideas are just flights of fancy and not something I am actually asking for. Please don’t come after me with pitchforks.

The upcoming customization options for Void Elves will allow Alliance players to appear as High Elves but your racial tag will still say Void Elf and you’ll still have the Void Elf racials.

Now imagine that when selecting Void Elf during character creation there is a drop down option for “High Elf”. Selecting this changes your racial tag to High Elf and your racials have their names and visual effects (if any) replaced with High Elf themed alternatives. The racials still do the exact same things as a Void Elf or a High Elf but thematically differ depending on the “sub-race” you chose.

Entropic Embrace becomes Arcane Surge… but still does the same exact thing.
Preternatural Calm becomes Battle Ready… still does the same thing
Ethereal Connection becomes Friend of a Friend… yup same thing
Chill of the Night becomes Stand Against The Darkness… seeing a pattern here?
Spatial Rift becomes Arcane Jaunt… you get the idea by now

This allows the race to function as a full fledged High Elf without taking up an additional race slot. The same concept could be applied to other races with sub-races as well such as Dwarves and Wildhammer Dwarves, Blood Elves and Darkfallen, Forsaken and whatever you call Nathanos/Derek-flavor undead, etc.

It ends up opening a lot of options without having to create new races for each or having to create new racials and balance them. Basically it would be like a veneer for a race. But as a reminder I am NOT asking for this, I am merely putting forth a piece of fiction my imagination spat out.

Yeah, good for you. I’m now seeing things like being renamed High Elf when mouse hovered over, changing racial, adding Paladin class, retaking Silvermoon, etc.
You were asking for something givin to Horde and now Blizzard is trying to compromise without stepping on Horde players too much, but it still isn’t enough.

Not my fault you don’t like Alliance races. I like Drenai, Human and Worgen. Too bad they aren’t Horde. Maybe I should start requesting them for Horde.

At that point they should basically just make Blood Elves neutral and when you select it on Alliance side everything is blue., Heritage armor, etc. Omg…

Guess The void elves, alleria and Vereesa are all just in my imagination.
Must have imagined Dalaran too,
And the Allerian Stronghold,
And the Silver Convinant, who ammased a high elf army to fight at Suramar
And those High elves in telogrus rift,
And the ones in the hinterlands
And the Argent Crusade High elves
And the High elf battle mages of SI:7
Or all the other Hig elves dotted around the world in game, damn I have a really active imagination right?

Hint: Sarcasm again.

I wouldn’t really care except for all of talk of changing changing either void elf (mostly) or blood elf (less common but still there) to the point that one or both become high elves.

I don’t think Blizzard will ever outright change an existing race to be neutral. Even with my imaginary system, there’d be “under the hood” differences such as their racials and obviously their faction.

Blood Elves will always be Horde. That’s a given. But there is no reason Blood Elves couldn’t also have that drop down option for High Elf as well.

Please do keep in mind though… I AM NOT ASKING FOR THIS. I was just letting my imagination run wild and sharing it.

High Elf army in Suramar? I mostly seen Night Elves and 3 elf that called themselves High elves, but Elisande looked at them and said they were unworthy of the name for mingling with lesser races and diluting their bloodline.

To me story wise those Alliance High Elves aren’t pure anymore anyway.
