Give void elves/dwarves the ability to customize their racials

Where…where else besides the orcs has fel addiction been present. It’s a foundation of the Orcs and they’re a major race for the horde, but that’s like saying the Alliances themes are all human based.

They at least shouldn’t be.

The main theme/foundation of the horde is “survivors” but not necessarily from just fel addiciton.

The High Elf aesthetic is going to become way more popular than the Void Elf one.

I disagree that there is a Silver Covenant High Elf aesthetic at all. The Alleria void elf aesthetic is going to be way more popular than the Umbric void elf aesthetic, true.

We’ll see when they come out with hair colors I supposed. Maybe they’ll reinforce the void elf aesthetic by providing the butter blonde of Alleria and the red of the recruits from the Blood Elves, but skip the platinum blonde of Vareesa.

Blizzard, revert this ill-considered “HiGh ElF” customization for the love of God. Kill all the high elves. All of them. Wipe out Quel’danas, Quel’lithien, Allerian Stronghold, mana-bomb Dalaran. I don’t care. Kill all the high elves and be done with it.

High-Elves and Night-Elves kinda are similar in some ways. Both of you are arrogant, and worship incorrigible leaders.

Actually they ARE the horde, Warcraft 1 was just orcs vs humans, orcs are the foundation of the horde and they only formed the horde because of fel corruption. I’m not saying every race is fel corrupted, I’m jsut saying fel corruption on blood elves made them fit better BECAUSE it went back tot he very roots of the horde.

Actually that kind of is the alliance theme. They were all the ‘human looking’ races. pointy eared humans, short humans, baby-sized humans and regualar humans. That was the alliance thematic, the human looking civil races.

I’m not disagreeing that fel addiction on the belves couldn’t be interesting, but it’s not really a horde them.

In all honesty, I don’t think Night elves fit on the alliance, we’ve consistantly been on the outside not quite fitting in. They should have went with 4 factions like warcraft 3, that way blood elves could have joined us night elves which would have made far more sense too. But, over a decade too late for that now.

Their eyes changed due to being around fel crystals, that is all that changed. Their eyes have been cleansed and can go to golden and soon blue. It makes sense. The Fel Elves you’re thinking of are Felblood Elves.

The Elves tainted with Fel that I am referring to are Blood Elves. Might that be changed in Shadowlands with the new customizations? Might the Fel finally be cleansed from some of them? Maybe. But the blue showing up on my screen is not a true blue, it is an aqua so I will see what the story says. Regardless, right now, they are still tainted.

Blizzard adding Void Elves stepped on faction identity because it was the exact same model, same pose, same twirl when they jump. Now, they are getting same skin options as well.

This is not me being greedy or a hateful anti-HE. I played this race, this toon since Feb 09 and I put a lot of time into it(695 days /played on this toon), the story, the faction. If Blood Elves were on Alliance when I first started I still wouldn’t have picked one because I prefer the Horde. What is happening is making me feel like I’m playing an Alliance themed toon now because it’s slowly being added more and more to that faction.

I understand. If humans or dwarves or gnomes in their present forms were added to the Horde I would not be happy. And that is how you see this.

However, I see High Elves, Blood Elves and Void Elves as all different. If Dark iron Dwarves with the same form and only slightly different aesthetics than original dwarves were added to the Horde I wouldn’t have cared. Because I would see them as different.

Personally, I am happy for the people who are happy that they can now use the new customizations to create a Void Elf to role-play a High Elf but I have a problem with them saying Void Elves are High Elves and/or Blood Elves and making assertions and requests on that bases because according to story, designations, racials, ect, they are not.

As a night elf, we lost our faction with the end of WC3. I don’t think night elf fans had any illusions that we weren’t joining the human faction.
