Give us Vanilla, NOT pre-TBC with gated content

No? Meteorological seasons are commonly used around the world. The US is very ‘astronomical’ centric, but meteorological seasons are more relevant to farmers because they’re about the weather.

Um… Brock… are you sure your tinfoil hat’s not on too tight?

For years, everyone: "BLIZZARD GIVE US VANILLA!

Eventually Blizzard: Alright, alright. You think you do and you do. Here is Classic!

Some people: Ehhh… Actuallllllyyyy… I want this part … but not that part! Ooo ooo! And that one, too! And a small pinch of that and some quality of life and a new pony and a skateboard and a small pony to ride the skateboard…

Ahem. Point being. Just be grateful for what we’re getting. Holy Tauren.

Light be with you.

Nope no tin foil.
One doesn’t announce a future product based on vaporware or ideas.
An announce means they have already done feasibility studies and most likely have working prototypes in house.

Blizzard started talks with the Nost team back in 2016.

Hmmm. Okay yeah, I forgot that’s how long ago that was. Fel.

Time sure flies, doesn’t it?

They even told us so. They didn’t announce that it was coming, until they got the 1.12 version working.

This is pretty typical of Blizzard forums over the years. Make an assumption that quickly because something Blizzard “promised” even though they never supported the assumption in any way.

Makes “Blizzard Lied!” posts a lot easier.

It’s set in stone. There is no way they are changing it this late in the game barring divine intervention. Accept it.

They announced it would be 1.12 a year ago. That was the time to protest it if you didn’t like it. It’s far too late now.

Blizzard made the original MC in one week. The first phase of Classic only launches with MC. But we are arguing that scaling MC within 70 days is not possible? 10x the amount of time just to adjust a raid?

Obviously, scaling subsequent raids would happen before their respective releases.

OP has a valid point which many of us have been discussing for YEARS. 16 debuff slots, 1.12 talents, progressive itemization – each step where Blizzard has made decisions on these issues we have been extremely vocal about the impact on raiding difficulty.

Vanilla raiding is easy but it’s not supposed to be BROKEN easy.

This is just unrealistic. Some of the content updates were absolutely needed- either to fix exploits/bugs, or to give much-needed balance to the classes (or both). Replicating that journey just for the journey’s sake is quasi-masochistic in nature. Likewise, Blizzard claims they do not have pre-1.12 data.

You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you might find you get what you need.

Internal instant messaging logs:

DEV: “Sir, we have two major issues!! The Azerite system is polling terribly internally and the Beta testers are pointing out flaws we never considered. It’s going to be a huge failure!”

Ion: “And the other issue?”

DEV: “The all kale-flavored bubblegum vending machine in the cafeteria hasn’t sold a single pack!”

Ion: “Replace the gum with generic cured tofu meatsticks, and run with Azerite as-is. Use the MVP SOP to gaslight and promise changes in a future patch. Start with something like, ‘It’s only 8.0’ and then work your way up to 8.2.”

Fall begins on September 23 2019 in the northern hemisphere…

Pretty sure that Aug 26 is more than 3 days before Sep 23…

Only if you use the Astronomical calendar. The Meteorological calendar that much of the world outside your own uses, aligns with the months.

I really enjoy that we can’t even agree on what day summer ends.

Fall begins the day after Labor Day in the U.S.

That is when all students are in the “fall semester/quarter”.

That is when all clothing stores have their “fall” clothing lines on the racks.

That is when all television commercials remove their summer t.v. ads and start their “fall” t.v. ads.

That is when the “fall” sport of college football dominates the air waves.

Don’t try your silly astronomical calendar semantics with us good sir/ma’am! :sunglasses:

It’s better than the original topic :stuck_out_tongue:
