Give us Dual spec so the game is fun

I’m thinking I just won’t heal with my druid in BC

This is true, I didn’t even know who that dude was who did the poll. I didn’t vote, my friends didn’t vote. We wouldn’t of voted for dual spec. These polls are meaningless.

I have to disagree here. How many players will play TBC? 1 million? 2 million? More? If 20k players want something they are the vocal minority.

Clearly you’re not one of the people criticizing the poll because you understand it’s flaws. You’re ignorant of how accurate polling works and are only criticizing it because you’re against dual specs. Donkles is doing a good job explaining the problems. A poll of 20,000 people would be an accurate poll if it was a representative sample of BC players even if you and your friends weren’t part of it. You should educate yourself starting with understanding what a representative sample is.

20k people that you know of and as you seen with the post i linked, theres tons more.

and just because people havent answered doesnt mean they would vote the same way you do. you assume that the other 980,000 people that didnt vote on that pole would say “No.” that is not the case.

you can disagree all you want but it doesnt make you right there

I agree we have a boost may aswell put this in, though I’d have it have limitations to avoid spec hoping between each fight

any rest area would be fine imo

I vote for dual spec. it was a huge quality of life change, why wait.

And 9/10 representative polling is inaccurate as a whole. I mean look at the 2016 elections. All polls had Hillary winning by a land slide and then Trump took it. Sample polls are a decent tool to get a general idea from, but no where near representative of a population as a whole to truly gain any accurate answers.

Election polling is inherently flawed because you have to guess who is a likely voter. I suggested starting education by learning what a representative sample is. Not that that was all you needed to learn. Even so most of the respectable polling firms were pretty accurate for the popular vote which Hillary won by 2.1%. But presidential elections aren’t democratic. Serious people who try to make predictions of presidential elections look at state polls to extrapolate electoral college votes. But polling is expensive and there isn’t sufficient state polling done close to election day to do that.

A poll done by Blizzard or a similar company can be very accurate as they have massive amounts of data on their customers to create an extremely accurate representative sample and they can restrict access to the poll to only their customers or subgroups of their customers i.e. only classic players, only retail players, etc.

its not meaningful when you enjoy several different areas of the game and the constant respeccing gets in the way of that. The spec I use on my rogue for pvp is not the same as dungeons and won’t be the same as raids, if I do raids.

What are your thoughts on tokens in game btw? Because the gold cost is going to be quite an enticement for people that want to play multiple roles or specs. I’d think nothing of selling tokens just for re spec gold.

Yeah, i think dual spec will be healthier for the game than wow tokens. You can’t expect these people to farm gold to respec from healer to dps as a healer with crap dps. 50g isn’t a meaninful amount, it’s just enough to be an inconvenience, a system that doesn’t really need to be there and adds no inherent value to the game whereas classes that have the potentiality to fill multiple roles each of which that are mandatory to have, it is healthy that they should have the ability to have more than one spec at all times.

It’s not though. That is what I am saying. I know how polls work.

Game is fine without it. Maybe you should just, I dunno, play the game a bit? With dailies, 100g a week is small potatoes.

I agreed that the poll cited was flawed and therefore useless. It was everything else in your post I disagreed with. There is no evidence the poll is wrong. There’s no evidence it’s a vocal minority. It doesn’t matter if you or your friends didn’t take part. By luck or sheer chance it might be 100% accurate, or 100% flipped.

Just enjoy the game for what it is.

Problem with that logic is that, were what you have in mind the intended gameplay, it would have been made that way without need for change, at least the grandpa had both an excuse, by you standard and the fitness benefit that came with it.

What do you get for either A.buying gold, paying a mage to afk lvl you while you watch youtube or B.wasting money on a boost that with fairly minor time investment could have been a circumvented cost?

Claims of enjoying the “end game” are highly exaggerated as that will just consist of paying for gear and standing around in shattrath/org/sw/if showing off gear that you got carried for or simply had the higher amount of gold to obtain, gold that was likely purchased from a seller.

This games retail community really do go out their way to destroy things, nobody forced anyone into the world buff meta or any other meta for that matter. Efficiency does not always equate to fun.

I agree on dual spec… how is it fair some classes can pvp and pve on one build while I’m forced to pay $50 gold anytime I want to swap from pvp to pve.

On my classic rogue deep sub shadowstep is like 180% less damage than combat swords.

No dual spec is just going to push more gold buying.

All this right here is just gibberish. If you want to buy gold + gear and then stand around afk, that’s all you. If you don’t enjoy endgame, then, again, that’s all you.

The fact that you trolls now have “retail” as your boogeymen speaks volumes. Crack a window, maybe even step outside and touch the grass.
