Give us Dual spec so the game is fun

Dont make me ask twice. Dual spec is a necessity at this point and the game is really boring without it.

It’ll be there in Wrath.

I’d much rather you stopped asking entirely.

No it isn’t. If you miss it that much, you can wait for WotLK or go play retail.

I’m having lots of fun on my paladin and druid without dual spec. I’m not sure what your problem is. Unless you don’t like having your choices matter in an RPG…

we’re not all casuals that dont care about dragging our group down into the casual zone with us. Some of us are elites and require specific specs to play dungeons and raids and solo.

Yes, because without dual-spec the game isn’t any fun at all.

Don’t know what game you’re playing, but retail doesn’t have dual speccing… (would be nice if it did, SV could use some BM stuff)

if you’re not casual - you have enough gold to respec at any moment

I support dual spec. I will be maining a prot paly and would be amazing to make ret or holy my OS for pvp and what not. This will make heroics and pvp a lot easier and encourage more people to participate.

It’s because they have “Game integrity” and want the “authentic burning crusade experience”.

…after introducing paid boosts store mounts and cosmetic toys along with a plethora of arena changes nobody wants or asked for

Not at all.

The question for me is simply, why do we desire to play Classic at all? There are various answers, but I honestly believe they all narrow down to one: authenticity of the Classic release(s) to their respective originals. Otherwise, why bother? It’s the nature of all of the aspects of what distinguish the original releases that constitutes them being “different” from retail.

There is absolutely nothing in your statement that’s against dual spec. Aside from the fact that it wasn’t in OG Vanilla.

This game comes from an era where wasting a players time was conflated with some weird sense of pride. The “in my day I climbed uphill 20 miles in snow” kind of weird thing to be proud of. Congrats, Grandpa, but now we’ve figured out better ways to do things that let us actually enjoy our time rather than waste it.

There are many good things about Classic. But there’s a lot that can be tweaked, as they’ve shown with things like layering and lotus spawns. And ignoring what can easily be tweaked, that doesn’t actually affect your gameplay because “nuh changes!!!” is just depressing.

Then make two characters with each having the “correct” spec for the task.

Emmortahl, do you need a hug or something lol?

My response was to your statement that ‘everyone is a troll who argues against dual-spec’, not to start a back and forth about which aspects could or should change for QoL etc. You’re free to disagree, grandson, but my point was simply that authenticity of the originals re-released in Classic doesn’t contain dual-spec. Whether it SHOULD be there or not is of course one’s own opinion, but regardless, your original slight at those who might object, is misplaced.

EDIT: And I’d just add that what you dismiss as a waste of time, many consider the original experience. Perhaps driven by nostalgia to some degree (admittedly) it still does not make the time consuming aspects of Original wrong, simply because YOU would prefer to have certain changes that make those things more efficient.
