Under normal conditions I would agree. But this youtuber in particular is a heavy anti-dual spec user who used an entire video to argue against the super majority of his own poll. He also suggested a “dual spec” that involved you going to your trainer to respec every time you needed to change your spec everytime anyway. This is how biased he was AGAINST the dual spec.
k im gonna say this only one time so gather around and listen closely.
either we get Dual specs
or
we get not respecs
for those very few against dual specs, you say it’s about making choices and sticking with it, then why are you okay with respecing at all? make a choice and stick with it, no respecs if no dual specs.
So your enjoyment of the game comes from making things difficult for other players. Cool.
Other characters can already just pay a few gold to get the exact same talent choices as you, and then pay a little more gold to change back to their preferred playstyle. Your talent choices are not special when it’s a minor hurdle to choose new ones.
Players who want dual spec are players who’ve spent time using multiple specs and actually learn their class. I have trouble believing anyone who thinks a Holy priest will take months to learn how to be a Disc priest.
yes respecing is 3 times funner on retail then tbc. Dont have to travel to a trainer when my buddies need me to play a different role, or want to pvp. you could even say its 4 times funner tbqh
the only difference between retail and TBC respeccing is literal travel time to a trainer.
Quality of life does not compromise anything. Everyone has to say something on how small things that make the game better some how make it worse. And no, retail simple is not the answer but dual spec doesn’t ruin anything
Do you understand what sampling error is? Because I don’t think you do, if you think that addresses the issue even slightly.
It’s a whole bunch of polls making the exact same mistake. Anyone can answer, participation depends on knowing the specific content creator, no controls in place to ensure a representative sample is taken.
Making the same mistake 50 times does not make your data any better.
This is like saying that 50 conservative leaning news sites did presidential polling and they all found the conservative candidate is winning by a large margin, so it must be true.
I have seen no usable data either way. While those criticizing the poll cited are absolutely correct your guess that it’s just a vocal minority is equally useless. It’s just an unsupported opinion.
Dual spec would be great if it was just used to give healers and tanks a questing spec or a dungeon and pvp spec etc but that won’t be what it’s used for.
Give it a couple of months and there’ll be two required raid specs for everyone and people will be swapping specs for different bosses.
