It’s the best looking sword that’s not in the game that’s why lol.
So who recreated frostmourn then
Yes, because things CHANGE, blizzard write stuff and retcon others, youa re being completely delusional to think blizzard would not do with the Primus.
And a being like that will still whine about making a mournblade for the saviour of the universe?
Do you never read the story about people who promise to never make a special weapon again, but they end up doing because it is for the right people?
Hell, we even have God of war 2018 where the hulda brothers made Mjolnir, but they regretted because of what Thor did, and decided to make the axe for a warrior in the hopes to set things right, balance the scales, make a weapon for good
But you think a being old as a creation itself would be crying about mundane feelings?
YOU don’t know about logic and writing if you can’t think a narrative like that isn’t possible just because past events who are not fixed
Yet he use then in mop to subdue the darkspear and put then in martial law.
and yes, he would not corrupt his own people seeing how his father died to save then. Fel magic or not.
Why would this change?
It’s almost like Garrosh was a huge hypocrite or something.
To give DK players frostmourne appearance, did you not read the topic?
He wasn’t, until blizzard wrote that way
you think the Primus would not do that, until blizzard write saying he would
Or they could just put it on the TP as available to all players.
No, he always was.
Like the only thing that ever mattered to him (well… aside from being a sad sack when we first meet him) is his love of violence and how he constantly wanted more of it even when it was actively detrimental to whatever cause he was pursuing.
Like… Did you actually do any quests with him around or is this just a boosted alt so you can play horde?
Or, better, they could give to just DKs, like what they did with the Glaives for DH.
No, he wasn’t.
You clearly didn’t, neither read his short stories and the books he was in. And im not in the mood to lecture people about nuance and wow lore, especially when they think they know stuff, those are the worst to deal with.
Except, he didn’t. Everything that Garrosh took interest in was not Warlock or Fel related. The majority of things he dabbled in were Void in origin, including Dark Shaman.
I mean, is it iconic to Mages or not? The reason we’re talking about it is because you brought it up as an example of a weapon that should be exclusive but isn’t.
That being said, yes, Frostmourne should 100% be DK exclusive if the logic surrounding Demon Hunter glaives is consistently applied to weapons “iconic” to a class. The easiest solution for unlocking it is to just tie it to existing assets in Shadowmourne and Ulduar Timewalking the exact same way Demon Hunter glaives were for BC.
Or they could give it to everyone, just like how you could originally with those glaives.
Yeah, he was.
Like literally everything about the guy after Thrall talked him out of his depression was about war and violence even when it made things actively worse for everyone involved; we see this throughout Northrend where he kept antagonizing the alliance in the stupidest ways. So him going on a total bender in Mists and later in frikkin WoD made perfect sense if you actually looked at him and the things he di in the lead up to that point.
Again: the Glaives were originally a pair of swords that were later removed and put in as a transmog so if anything the Glaives should be restored as a mog in that format.
Beyond that: Frostmourne was busted at the end of Wrath so whatever we’d be getting would just be a copy thereby making it’s ties to death knights moot.
No he did, you can do the quest in remix and see for yourself
I don’t disagree. But going on the assumption that Blizzard isn’t going to open them up to other classes, the same logic should apply to other classes and their iconic weapons as well.
Which is completely irrelevant to the appearance. The physical sword doesn’t need to be in anyone’s possession and following the “this weapon is so iconic to this class that no one else should be allowed to use it’s appearance” logic that was used to justify Demon Hunters getting exclusive use of the glaives, the Frostmournce appearance should be DK exclusive.
Except again: it’s Fauxmorne, a wish dot come copy that in and of itself has no signifigance other then resembling another sword.
And beyond that even if you did limit this down to DK’s only it wouldn’t be special due to the fact that pretty much all of them would use this thereby making it bland and generic.
So no: just make it available to everyone either at the 20th anniversary or as a tradepost item.
You’re completely misreading the situation.
Warlocks were apart of Garrosh’s Korkron and the True Horde because many Orc Warlocks sided with Garrosh.
That does not mean Garrosh didn’t absolutely abhor the practice. He even calls Thrall out on it in the Siege of Orgrimmar. The raid itself is explicitly devoid of Warlocks and Fel magic.
Dark Shaman are not Fel in origin.
Garrosh who never used warlocks before, and send orcs to learn arcane arts with elves and forsaken so he could have mages and not use warlocks like thrall did.
Yet, he used the warlocks to put the darkspear in martial law.
But in the raid you see he kill then.
It is to show to you, blizzard will change anything and make character do what they don’t like if its fit their plot or for a specific reason.
Except the sword it resembles being by far the most iconic DK weapon to have existed and that sword being loaded with history and nostalgia even outside of the game. Owning a copy of the Lord of the Rings doesn’t suddenly make the memories associated with the movies or books any less meaningful.
And? The same could be said of all the Legion artifacts and I never felt like it was less cool to be wielding Ashbringer. My character appearance is for me and my enjoyment, not an e-peen measuring tool.
Just throw this troll on ignore and flag his posts. He has done nothing but vandalize this thread, ignore the posts, spam incorrect information (even after being corrected) and make personal attacks.
And yet, even after being ignored, told he was ignored, I still see quotes of him from others talking directly to me, like a delusional stalker.
It is a concept that people can’t grasp.
I wouldn’t need to. Primus would see me wearing the blades of the fallen prince, say that this sword used to represent the evil but that knowing my deeds and everything I did to stop Zovaal he would trust me in restoring the blade to its former power.
Alexandros Mograine, the Ashbringer, would also vouch for me (if that was even needed, after all, I saved Shadowlands).
And while at it, I think I would also ask Primus to make an Arthas ensemble with a look-like Crown of Domination, after all, there should always be a Lich King…
This is where Menhiit, the naysayer, leaves the room crying, with no friends left.
Its iconic to mages, because it has always been a powerful lore weapon only ever weilded by mages in the exact same way dk’s are in this thread asking for Frostmourne and it to be DK only - because it has only even been weilded by a DK.
In saying that - it has only ever been used by 1 owner - in fact - no one else should be able to use it at all now that i think about it. Its Arthus personal weapon.
A transmog look thats similar to it without the empowered blue glow and runes would look amazing sure, by that would also mean it should b available to everyone.
If you think the Primus would ever create or even share the recipe for making a mourneblade ever again you literally don’t even know who he is
