Give All High Elves Golden Eyes

What the devs say doesn’t change the fact that lore wise any blood elf who called another blood elf a high elf would be asking for a beating. A ceremonial change is still a change.

Imagine if Ion was to say they won’t get void elf beards and hair next the forums might explode

In all honesty, I’m sure whatever new customization Blood Elves get will be pretty fantastic. They are the most popular and populous race of the Horde. I’d be shocked if the art team didn’t spend a little extra time giving them nice things. Blue eyes aside, I doubt Blood Elf players will have much to cry about in Shadowlands as far as customization goes.

But Blood Elves are not High Elves. Thats why it says
Blood Elf under your name, because thats what you are, you are no longer a High elf, you’ve evolved into a seperate thing, fel juice does that to a person.

So what about the golden eyed Blood Elves who got high on the Light juice? They a new species too?

Not sure why you’d think that. After the restoration of the sunwell we see the Blood Elves draw power from it and change eye colour. High Elves have learnt to live without it. There’s no need for them to draw power from it.

A good video that compares the two;

(Battle against Elisande - Blood Elves, High Elves, Night Elves).

It was Blizzard that made this video and if they had thought different they would have made that change.

It’s just a name change, there is no biological change. The green eyes aren’t even from drinking fel juices, but from fel crystal radiation that hasn’t been present for years.

(not directed @ person I’m replying to, but if anyone needs to read up on them for clarity: https://wow.gamepedia.com/Blood_elf)

First you start gloating because BE’s got blue eyes

Then you started being rude to the dataminer that questioned that the blue eyes were not for BE’s

Now you are saying ALL thalassian elves should get eventually golden eyes because they are all “high elves”

Why are you like this?

We have words for that. It rhymes with Betty, but starts with a P.

Inb4 someone hilariously comes up with something illogical.

There’s actually a very specific colour I’d like my belf’s eyes to be. Do you think I should send Blizz some paint chips?

you still havent realized it yet have you? if they said no to our request then they are going to say no to giving a void elf a blood elf skin tone. GUARANTEED

and ofc they were never going to you a playable blue eyed blood elf. or they wouldnt have given you void elves in the first place

nothings changed

And? High Elves might never be playable, VE’s might never get a HE aesthetic. We all know that.

Still makes this request of giving all thalassian elves golden eyes because you can’t have them, incredibly childish.

That was before the Sunwell was re-lit, when no one could draw from it, once we got windchime soup, BE’s were no longer at risk of becoming that anymore.

Sadly, I am not baiting.

Why are they called BLOOD ELVES if they are no longer HIGH ELVES?

Lightforged arent Draenei… They are Lightforged.

i think there was a blood elf after the sunwell was re-lit that became a wretched,
Magistrix Elosai.
however it was a consequence of her trying to find a cure for those already deformed.
also while similar i think the withered and the wretched are two different conditions. one is from overdosing on magic while addicted to it and the other is caused by a lack of magic.

blood elf is a badge of honor for the high elves

and as you pointed out, the distinction for LFD is being infused by the light. the only difference between a blood elf and a ‘high’ elf is politics

Why would the Silver Covenant or any other High Elves repatriate?

Given I just answered the question, in the text you quoted, I find it hard to understand what you are doing.
