You’r right, i forgot about her… and yes, Wreched were the blood elves who fell due to over consumption, while Withered were nightborn who starved, but i thought they were talking about the BE’s version so i just ran with it.
SC are probably exiled. other high elves never cut ties and still make pilgrimages to the homeland
even auric sunchaser the leader of the few elves at allerian stronghold returned home
Unfortunately, there is a base of players who get off on being the only non blue elves in the game. They have repeatedly threatened to quit if Blizzard even dared to give anything resembling High Elves to the Alliance. Blizzard, for their part, are so completely set on never doing that that they are willing to drive off players just to keep the vocal Belf fantasy lovers happy. My money is on the Blood Elves getting both Golden and Blue eyes before this shadowlands customization revamp is done.
The elves in outland never assumed the name of Blood elf since they were still cut off from azeroth at that time and knew nothing of what was happening.
Those who were still with Dalaran and never rejoined their people, we can assume didn’t assume the name either since they were citizens of Dalaran first, Blood Elves second.
The last group, the ones who were exiled over mana veganism, from everything we have seen, likely went back to calling themselves high elves because they associated the name with Silvermoon leadership and wanted to distance themselves in their anger. (witch frankly, i would have done too if i was them.)
EDIT: At this point the debate for high elves alliance or blue eyes for blood elves horde is just… silly, and if blizz did either, the rage that would hit these forums i don’t even want to think about.
Exactly my point. The Silver Covenant has been fighting with the Alliance since Wrath. High Elf individuals have been fighting with the Alliance since ever. According to the lore, there is even a High Elf population in Stormwind, not to mention a nice little outpost in the Hinterlands. Basically, all the arguments against High Elves in the Alliance, or even High Elf customization for Void Elves are straw men put up by an extremely vocal group of very selfish players which Blizzard has enabled.
Why are you so afraid, Fyre? This is a fictional videogame we’re talking about with 0 impact on your real life.
on a side note, wretched look alot like void elves in some art.
look up felendren the banished, i can’t really link images…
Those are still alliance and they didn’t return home as in “go back to live in SM”, but Lor’themar gave all high elves permission to pilgrimage there, which some Belves aren’t happy about, so many SC probably do too. Least he can do considering it was an alliance race which saved the well.
no they arent. they are expatriates living abroad
We know there are some yeah, but the SC are a bad example of it, since they exist as a dalaran force to oppose the sunreavers, if the BE’s never tried to get back in Dala, the SC wouldn’t have happened, tying yourself to fanatics is…yeah.
As for the population thats… a bit more iffy, we know there are some sure, but its always been stated to be low, like even lower possibly then the VE’s, and until blizz gives us a better idea, thats going to be a point of contention, not to mention plenty of HE’s are probably remaining independent (the outpost Lor’th went to for example in his short story)
They could just do both
I keep expecting them and the broken draeni for the Alliance as absolutely nobody has asked for them and Blizz can use that as a reason to not modify void elves or offer high elf allied.
It is, and they have since diverged paths from Quel’dorei seen on Alliance still using the name.
As ion put it as evolved
Veressa the leader of the SC was literally at the ceremony for the alliance player getting their prestige tint for killing many horde lol. The SC is alliance.
I like how your past arguments where “ION SAID THIS SO IT’S TRUE” Now Ion said Blood elfs and high elfs are different species you are against it. So biased you are playpen. I get it all of your arguments fail now and you aren’t happy. It doesn’t make sense for every High elf to get blue eyes. Not every High elf goes to the sunwell still.
This actually is correct. I read in a blue lore post on mmo champ once (I think during Legion) that the blood elves’ connection to the sunwell had an unlimited range or something.
If the well made their eyes blue before from the arcane energy, but now some have a well of holy energy for well over a decade, seems the blue should go but the gold or green should stay.
Uhm no, Auric Sunchaser who you mentioned, shows on the alliance pvp quest when you get the pvp artifact appearance.
Both or neither would be the safe bet at this point… there is plenty of reasons to go either way, but if they just do one or the other… oh the flames…
Lets be honest. The lore can be whatever they say it is. Lord knows they change it whenever they feel like it. This is a simple business decision. You are right, whatever they do, people are going to scream bloody murder here. For some reason, ion has decided he is absolutely not going to do this regardless of consequence. I stand by my earlier statement. Blizzard will likely end up giving both golden and blue eyes to the blood elves and they give this effs what the other side of the player base says or does.
