Give All High Elves Golden Eyes

i feel bad for the belfs that wanted more eye color options than gold or green. this thread, sadly, is not made in good faith. the op is saying, since i cant have it, neither can you. and i agree with her surprisingly. if the sunwell is radiating passively to all thalassians, then eventually all thalassians will have gold eyes. one eye color. not very exciting, i must say.

I don’t think you are understanding what I am saying.

All player character models are being changed. Our eyes are being decoupled from our face texture and being made a separate option in the character creator. This is being done to all the player race models… and many NPC’s as well.

It’s not a matter of “could”. It’s happening.

There has been a lack of consistency with wow’s efforts on all the elves. I mean the difference in eyes of the high elves in dalaran, it’s just a mess. When they added the gold it should have logically been extended to all the high elf npcs. Is it too much to hope they might get their act together soon? lol

You realize we’re not talking about you then, right?

Stop being so defensive. If you weren’t one of the people doing it then you aren’t being mocked.

Way to double down on it.
Take a hike buddy.

Lol you’re a joke

Do you always play the victim card for attention?

Ion said allied races will get new options by the way.

Ion said there were no plans for allied races to get new options in shadowlands.

its gonna be boring as heck to have one eye color option on belfs/helfs, while hopefully, all my other chars will have multiple options. i’m hoping the devs have mercy on velfs and give us some cool customizations, since we cant have skin color options. and we’re already limited compared to core races.

That is not true. He only said they were focused on original races for release, but that character customization improvements is something that is always being worked on.

I’m just not going to give it much thought and wait till we see what Blood Elves will get. If we dont’ get any more new eye color options I might continue to ask or wait and see what the next q&a’s bring us for information.
Meanwhile I hope you are able to enjoy at least the new human options, they look amazing.

It’s funny you would mention that considering the ahem Blood Elf Celebration thread…

Why? Was there something rude and obnoxious I posted there?

i had the idea that one of the people who wanted more eye color options for belfs, could make a thread asking for a small addition retcon, wherein its described that blood elves pass down their class knowledge from generation to generation, so it stays in the family, and as a result, non magic using classes frequently were not addicted to magic and thus, have non glowing eyes.

wallah, instant eye color options, for non magic classes for belfs.

Here’s the thing. While we know that all High Elves of every kind are connected to the Sunwell, I don’t believe that the High Elves, especially of the Silver Covenant, draw on the well as they once had before. Even when Lorthemar told Aurora about the well, she said she felt it and that the pangs eased, but it was only after he mentioned it that she drew from it to see if his words were true. To me, it shows that High Elves can choose to remain abstinent from drawing from the well and using it’s resources and continue to maintain their practices that they had before it’s restoration. I personally don’t see why they would willfully put themselves back into a vulnerable situation that can be taken from them so easily after all the hard work they put into surviving the way they had. It would make their journey meaningless, and I’d prefer not to go that route.

I understand what you are saying, but that doesn’t mean Blizz will give us the option, currently models for all races have options that can be changed but some races don’t have the option for this available to players, simply because Blizzard doesn’t give all races all options. Now this might change but at this point, how blizzard has worked, is not a given.
